  1. Using 4.8.3, of course. OS is W2K. I am struggling with some .lin files; our team will jump into a chat room for after-action analysis, and for an unknown reason, the auctions shown in some .lin files that I pull up will be completely erroneous. It is NOT the .lin files -- if I deinstall and reinstall the BBO client, the trouble goes away. It is either a file or registry entry, somewhere. I don't know which, but am willing to help diagnose the problem if interested. -Josh-

  3. I'm trying to use Partnership as a hand generation to build .lin files for later play -- set up constraints, use GIB in North, pop over to the movie editor, and save the hand. When I set opps to host controlled or GIB, all four hands shows in the movie editor. But ... when saved, the deal information is not in the resulting .lin file, the file is effectively empty and unusable. I've searched through this subforum but haven't seen this particular issue reported or discussed. Obviously, I have a circumvention, which is manually entering every card, I just find the p-bidding generator with the various constraint tools very helpful and would like to use it to set up hands for later play. Suggestions would be welcome. Here's an example of an "empty" .lin: vg|title,segment,P,1,3,,0,,0| rs|,1DN-8,,P,,P,| pn|,,,,jggimi,jggimi,~~R2337gun,jggimi| mp|,,,,,| pw|,,,,,,,,,,,|pg||
