  1. A message appears on my screen giving both players names. I usually send a chat message to tournament naming both players, or if I wish I can press the who is online tab and see the player(s) not online. After about a minute with no response I just delete the allavail string to start the tournament.
  2. Can only assume he was not online at tournament start, he was in casual, or had used up his BBO dollars between registering and ready to join. No other reason to be booted. Does your virtual club use the hack +allavail+ ? This stops the tourney starting until all registered players are online.
  3. The Chat Manager function is a pain to use on V3. At least for me😷
  4. Hand records - Click here for results of past tournaments, at top of page. Hand records are on the main BBO page before login.
  5. Indeed. I believe you need to modify tourney back to random deals, change movement, save, then modify and save again to us saved deals.
  6. Depends how many boards you are happy playing. If you set up for 18 boards at 3 boards/round then that will cater for all tables 6 and above. Your post suggest you are setting 21 boards at 3 boards/round which will cater for 7 tables and above. If you do this and only 6 tables enter then yes, you will play the first pair again. There are other options playing Howell movements. I tend to adjust my movements just before the tournament starts when I have a good idea of table numbers.
  7. When you create the xml file of your online event, this can be imported directly into EBUscore, call this section B. Your Bridgemates will have created section A in EBUscore. Now just merge the two sections to create one results file etc. Not sure if Bridge scorer will do the same but it should.
  8. We are thinking of disallowing them altogether. As Tony said above, change settings which will make it very difficult to misclick, or live with the consequences.
  9. A couple of times I have deleted the +avail+ in description after asking partner to contact missing person. This starts the tournament immediately. I allow about a minute for them to arrive before doing this, or if both are missing I just start the tournament as assume a pair is now not coming. A minute is long enough for any slight internet disconnections. The players don’t like waiting.
  10. I should have added, this is available within the Director tab, where there are many other options such as Edit Tournament, Reseat Player, Player History etc
  11. Definitely the Table History with all chat and timings of every action during the tournament and 20 minutes thereafter. This is available to me with Virtual Club and NBO logins.
  12. Finished 10 minutes ago. Table History still available for any table.
  13. Am running one now. Finishes in about 25 mins. Will check after last card played :)
  14. As a Director you should have access to Table History during the tournament. After the tournament finishes you can still access this for 20 minutes. If a small number of tables you could open up each table history during these 20 minutes and open in new windows to inspect at your leisure, or just any particular tables you are interested in.
  15. Well, everything worked very well tonight. Except at tournament start when I went to a table to look at board 1. The spade holding in North wasn't what I expected from the deal file. Panic, but when board 2 appeared that was correct. Of course I had joined the table when a couple of spades had been played, hence the discrepancy  Other than that, all went smoothly.
  16. Just edited my tournament, a 10 round howell, 2 boards/round. Used saved deals, chose folder and saved movement. The number of boards (20) is now greyed out. Hope that's a good sign
  17. The 36 hands were placed in a folder Over a week ago and I can see Each deal, so am assuming I can edit tournament now and just use saved deals.
  18. Well, I’m running my first Sims tournament tonight with many other clubs playing the same deals, so will load hands just before event start. Wouldn’t like to risk loading more than the event needs in case of failure. Maybe BBO support could offer some advice.
  19. When you edited the tournament to play 15 boards you could have included random deals. Then, edit tournament again, but this time use your saved deals, and it will load in 15 hands, assuming the deal file is large enough.
