Thank you. That explains a lot . I don’t think it is very clear in the instructions for Howell that it is only for 18 boards that it can be used. That still doesn’t explain why the B sections crashed with insufficient boards even though the same boards were loaded as for the A sections.

I was running 2 session tournaments today, under vNIBU128, in 3 sections Inter A, Inter B and Novice. The afternoon sections went fine although i set the Novice for 2 boards per round and it decided to play 3 per round! In the evening I set up so NS in each section in the afternoon played in 1 event called Red and EW in one called Blue for both inter A and Inter B. I set +howell+ and +hm24+ for each and preloaded 24 boards. The A section decided to play a full howell of 34 boards and the B section said there were not enough boards loaded and crashed. I had to scrap both events and restart, causing a lot of disquiet, especially as they were asked to pay again and it was a national event. Eventually, In order to get it played I just set up for 2 regular mitchells. I'm sure I set it up right. Was logged on before the start under vNIBU128. Can anyone tell me what went wrong? The events were #9734, #9758. #9671 & #9709

I just want to clarify. I'm running and event restricted to players ranked Inter A and Inter B in my country but want to separate into 2 events based on their ranking. So,if I set up the Inter A tourney with an include list of Inter A members can I then also set up the Inter B tourney and replace the include list with one for just Inter B players or will this affect the Inter A tourney list. I know I can append one list to the other but I want to make sure players are in the right event.

i have run a 2 session event and combined the scores with BBO's new tool. Can anyone tell me how to download the combined sessions to bridgewebs?

I set up a club completion for 2 weeks with 4 tables, 21 boards, 3 boards per round howell. last week there was no problem, however, this week it decided to play a mitchell, ruining the whole completion. the movement is exactly the same as i copied it and changed the timing. Any idea why this has happened? I've sent 2 messages to yellows but not got an answer.

I sent this question via email about 2 weeks back but never got a reply. On my iphone or ipad, if I wish to purchase BB$ it quotes me £13.99 for 10 BB$. If I buy them on my computer it charges me 10 US$, approx £8.50. This is quite a difference and I don't understand why there are 2 different charges.

Hasn't been done yet. Still get all tournament messages twice. Especially irksome when players are thanking me at the end of the tournament.

Thanks. I have done that but Bridge players are notorious for not reading directions 😀 as you well know. I catch as many as I can.

I'm having great difficulty in getting hand records up within the 20 min adjustment period so I find it nearly impossible to check for and uncompleted boards I may have missed and assign meaningful scores in time. Am I the only one who finds this a problem? It is now 40 mins since out tournament was completed and they are still not available.

Can anyone tell me if it is ok to disconnect whilst hosting a teams match? My computer did something funny and I couldn't see the tables but I was scared to log off and back on in case it stopped the match

Thanks for the reply but they are waiting to play in my free tournaments so are not in the casual club. It has been going on for about a week now, but only certain people. The rest are OK :(

Can anyone tell me why some of my friends or people I follow are no longer appearing when I click the people tab? I run a number of online tournaments and it makes it difficult to check everyone is online.

My include list which I have been using for about a month is not visible when I log in with my director tab. Does anyone know how to get it back or do i need to type it all in again? A real bummer!

I have been running tournaments and playing in them as well but find it difficult to see adjustments that need to be made for unfinished boards after play has stopped. I a tourney today, i made 2 adjustments after play that initially showed up on the players results but when the "show boards" came up they were still showing as A==. 1 adjustment I made during the tournament was ok. Can anyone explain this? Also, how do I see all the results of the boards in the tournament with in the 20 mins so i can see what needs adjusting? I'm getting very confused!

It does prevent them. I've had to do it that way when i couldn't start a team match with assigned seats. It kept being cancelled but i was able to start it with just me and then invite the others one by one with no interference.

Was just modifying a tournament I had set up when a message flashed up saying "someone else is modifying your team game or tournament". How is this possible? I am the only director?

You need to be accredited as a TD by BBO. When you are, there is a director button on the right of the screen. If you click on that, there is a button that says "include/exclude list". Click on that and you can enter the usernames for all your members. When you click "close" it will be saved. You can now click on "create tournament" and set it up as you need and restrict registration to your include list. No one who is not on your include list can now register. You can add to the list after you have created it but, if you already have a tournament created, you need to edit the tournament by adding something like additional welcome for the list to be updated in the tournament. try this link https://doc.bridgebase.com/Help/Guide_for_BBO_TDs.pdf

The first time I typed in an include list, it did not save, so I was as puzzled as you. I tried it again and it saved automatically when I clicked "close" and now appears each time so maybe it was just a glitch.

We had a problem last night when one of our members did not get an accept button on her invitation, repeatedly. In the end I had to remove her name from the table and reject a couple of dozen requests to sit before she could get on. It was very annoying and anything to stop this would be great.

is it possible to run a 2 session tournament on BBO with the same players in both sessions and the scores combined?
