Can anyone tell me, is there any way that, as a TD, I can see the live state of play during a tournament? ie the rolling results as the tournament progresses?

is there any way for the TD to get interim results in tournament, say when running an 11 round tourney with a break after 5 rounds? it would be nice to be able to see the state of the game.

I have had a complaint about comments made during a tournament held 2 days ago. Is there any way I can get a record of these comments after this length of time?

Is it possible for someone to sign in as invisible under another account and self kibitz an event without anyone knowing? If this is possible, is there anyway of stopping this while still allowing others to watch?

I have found that the 1st and subsequent odd number (so 3,5,7,9 etc)to register are allocated N/S and the even numbers are seated E/W

I have been trying to post the results of my tournament held this afternoon but every time I run BBO extractor it stops and says no traveller details are available, therefore, I cant post the results. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a way round it?

I was running a free tournament when, all of a sudden, the video strip popped up on everybody's screen. Some could get video pictured, some couldnt, but non of us discovered a way to get rid of the strip. It was extremely distracting and caused problems with adjusting scores. How do you switch it off if you don't want it?

I sent a request to support@bbo.com 8 days ago asking to have team match privileges added to nibu_youth, our teaching log in. My email provider has just sent me a message to say they are not responding and they are giving up. Has anyone else had this problem? It’s very worrying if you need urgent support.

I gathered that was the case, but it would also be good if there was a way to access the current leaderboard as each round finished. In addition, I knew there would be rematches but, I was running 8 x 6 board matches and 2 pairs played each other 5 times and many others 3 times. We only had 20 pairs but surely there must be a way BBO could limit rematches so that there were not more than 2. It can be done manually. You could even allow the TD to alter the matches to make it fairer. It is the first Swiss Pairs we have run but we certainly won’t be running another unless this situation changes drastically. It was event 20763 run under vNIBU128.

I am running a Swiss pairs with a break and I have no idea how I get the running scores. It would be great is BBO gave access to the running scores after each round and also if the scores for the round before the break were visible when all had finished playing, rather than waiting till the start of the next round.

I think I am right in saying that I can now put a break in a Swiss Pairs event. Could someone please confirm this before I make a horrible mess of it? :)

But I thought I could use +hm18+. It has it in the small Howell movements. I know I can use + rounds?+ for any other numbers.

Can anyone tell me why tournament 44543 did not run as I thought I had set it up but instead played 15 boards at 2 board per round?

Can I suggest it would be very useful if, when using saved deals for an event, the tournament details stated which deal file had been attached to the event. At the moment it just says "using saved deals" and does not state which saved deals. It would make it easier for the director to ensure that the correct deals had been loaded.

can someone explain to me how 3 pairs are credited with the same number of matchpoints but there are 3 different percentages? And also, sometimes, a pair with a higher no of matchpoints (and no sit-outs or averages) are given a lower percentage than another pair.

I prefer to credit players with more honour and sense than to do that :) Obviously that would not be allowed. I'm talking about a genuine internet problem which the player was trying hard to fix without success and thought it would enable the board to be finished so as not to inconvenience the rest of the players.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to let dummy play the hand when declarer is disconnected for a long time? I thought it was possible but a TD yesterday told me he could not do it.

I have the same problem with my ipad but I can log on with safari rather than the app. Can log on with my iPhone but it says I have not pending directing event when I have 2 loaded. At least my pc and laptop are ok 😀

Thanks for that. Does the +rounds<number>+ only apply to Howells? It seems with Mitchell’s the number of boards you specify is what is played. As it happens in the 1st novice session I had only loaded 24 boards but it played a 27 board 5 table Howell with no problems. It just added 3 boards. Why did it do that then and not with the evening B’s which would have needed about the same number of boards?
