Hi basically i play same system but 14-16 NT.So 1♦ is 11-13 bal, 11-15 4441,or 11-15 4MAJ/5+minor. *1♦-1♥: 1♠=4♠ could have 4S/3H/5minor and min, 1NT=NAT, 2♣/♦=5+minor/4S/0-2♥, 2♠=max 4S3H5+minor, 2NT=max 4♥, 3♣/♦=max 6minor/4♠, 3♥=min 4♥/6+minor *1♦-1♠: same style as above *1NT/2NT/3NT=nat 5-10(11)/11-12/13-15 *1♦-2♣/♦=FG 4+suit: 2♦/3♣=min 5+minor/4MAJ, 2♥/♠=max 4MAJ/5+minor, 2NT=min bal/4441 w/o supp, 3NT= max 4441 w/o supp *1♦-2♥/♠=4-8 6+suit so 1♦-1♥-1♠-2♥=inv 6+suit or 1♦-1♠-2minor-2♠=inv 6+suit *1♦-3♣/♦=INV 6+suit. This is kind of short and easy version, works fine.

Opener at 3 level
Adebisi replied to sceptic's topic in General Bridge Discussion (not BBO-specific)
Hi, 3rd in hand after passed pd u want to make life harder for opps ecpessially in fav vulnerability so 3rd level 3♦ could be some 3-12 HCP 6+ suit.Here u lost your 3NT but more likely u win.Some sure would open 1H and reach 3NT but after pass 3D seems right:) -
2NT could be used as FG 18+ 6+MAJ, coz u dont have normal bid for that hand in nat systems, 3MAJ would be inv but NF.And inv 17-18 bal hand u go via 2♣/♦ and 2NT rebid.:)
-
2♦ to play 4-1 if opener has 1444 hand and 4H is cold?Or opener has (31)54 then 3 or 4 MAJ. U should have bid to show inv 55 MAJ-s here, over 4th suit: 2H then 3H or jump to 3H depending on your style here. And 2C in nat systems 11-17 , its so wide range if opener is max u could have also 3NT.But 2D with this hand really funny.
-
DBL =Take out as after 2♠ opening 2NT=16-18 bal 4♣/♦=55 ♥/minor 2♥♠3♣♦nat
-
Hei! I think that after 1MAJ-P-1NT-2X DBl should be teakout, coz responder could have lenght in any 3 suits exc. 1st MAJ.After 1Min-P -1NT-2x responder cant have much lenght in MAJs, and if u here could have 15-17 NT so dbl should show that hand and also u need agreement what is difference between DBL and 2NT.
-
I think its better to have agreement with your partner, that the dbl shows 4spades, or the dbl shows no 4+ spades and no heart stopp but 7+hcp or 1S shows 7+hcp without 4+spades and no H stopper and dbl shows 4+ spades:)

How would you decide?

Exactly whereagles, wanted to make same post!! -
55♥♠ with extras.
-
2♠.After 3♣ u may miss 4-4 ♠fit.

As i played for severeal years: 1♥= 8-11 bal or 12+any Opener:A: 1NT 17-19 bal->2x=12+ 5+suit, 2NT="Stayman", 3x=12+ 4441 spl B:2♣♦♥♠ 6+suit C.1♠ all other hands->1/2NT=8-11/14+bal,2x= 12+ 5+suit, 3x=12+ 4441 1♠=8-11 5+♥ 1NT=8-11 5+♠ 2♣♦=8-11 5+suit 2NT=12-13 bal 3♣♦♥♠=8-11 4441 spl. Works fine.

Pass cant be forcing, if u have min bal hand and u cant dbl spades u just pass and dont force partner to god knows where if he also has min 8/9 hcp.

Hi, one of the weakest spot in 2/1 is 1S-2H FG. 2C/D FG ok, but if u cant bid 2H after 1S with that hand i guess its not a winning bridge, and that just makes more difficult to describe your hand. Here , coz 1S-1NT-2D-2H is played as weak 6+H, jump to 3H after 2D seems only option.Cheers!

Hei, here is as i play: 1H 1S 2NT max 14-15 with 4S 3C F1 Relay 3D/H=spl D/C 3S=5H4S22 3S good min 6H/4s 1D 1H 2S max 14-15 with any spl+4H 2NT F1 Relay 3C/D/H=spl C/D/S 1D 1S 2NT max 14-15 with any spl+4S 3C F1 Relay 3D/H/S=spl D/H/C
-
Very easy and effective just DBL T/O as after weak 2s opening, rest is nat exc. 4C and 4D are 55 H+minor.
-
Hi, im looking for good follow-up after 15+ 1C opening and 1D 0-8 neg response. 1NT is 12-14 so 1C-1D-1NT=should be 15-17, but rest?Especially how to deal with 4441 hands?Any good ideas?

2NT as a Forcing raise after 1M playing Precision
Adebisi replied to jmc's topic in Non-Natural System Discussion
After limide 1H/S opening i recently changed all " conv raises" into natural, coz these art 4 card raises, 3card raises, minisplinters etc happen so rare and they give lots of info to defending side.So what i play now is: 1S -: 1NT semiforcing, opener passes only with (11)12-13 bal, could have bal 3card supp 2NT FG with 4+ trumps, usually with mild slam try, Swedish responses like someone already mentioned: 3C=min, 3D=max no shortness, 3H/S/NT max spl in C/D/OMaj, 4C/D non min 5+side suit, 4S=bal min max 1KC 3C/D=9-11 6+card INV 3H=(14)15+ 6+H 3S=INV nat(this gives deffence no information about hand: to lead trump or try to make active lead whatsoever,and after limited opening u may raise 1S into 2S with hand like Qxxx, xx, xxxx, xxx, nothing happens.Once in online bridge i played with pd to who was impoosible to explain why i dont like Bergen raises: why go down 1 in 3S(especially when u have spade suit!) when u could stay in 2S.Then after o/c or DBL 3 of openers MAJ is pre-emptive, but without interrupting i believe very easy stuff is best.I used to play 2NT as 4+card INV raise, and jumps in new suits as inv fit bids with 3card supp and 5 card suits, but they happen so rare, and u still may make wrong decision to bid game or not, so i abandoned them. -
Hi, i have played Precision for some years and i could say that simple things could be the best:) 2C 3C Preemtive raise but invitational when VUL 2C 2D 2MAJ 3C nonforcing, opener bids on with max 2NT relay , gameforcing 2C 2NT nat inv usually without C supp. All fancy things like 2NT as Preemtive raise or gameforcing 55 hands are ok but 55 hands after 2 C openings are very rare anyway, and to loose frequent nat 2NT is a loss.Cheers!

Needed: study material on 1M-2C & 1D-2C Full relay
Adebisi replied to Chamaco's topic in Non-Natural System Discussion
Hi , here is Fallenius-Nilslands developments they used to play, hope it helps:) MAJOR SUIT RELAYS The 2 C GF relay 1 M - 2 C shows either a GF hand (any) or clubs with at least two-over-one strength. Opener shows distribution over relays. When responder breaks the relay chain he can often rebid clubs as nonforcing. If other bids show clubs or not depends on the situation. The same relay scheme is used after the strong club. Wild 2N After identifying a sidesuit, openers 2 N shows 10+ cards in two suits and a void somewhere Rebids and continuation after 2 C when responder has a GF hand: 2 • a) one suiter (no side suit - including 5332) :) Wild with 4+ diamonds 2 H ® relay 2 S onesuiter without shortness(not real good 5332/6322) 2NT ® 3 C 5332 3 • asks for doubleton (Techs) 3 x seminat., may invite 3 N (or start cue) 3 N suggest 3 N 4 m cue (openers M trumps) 3 • 6322 3 M 5422 boring with SS minor techs 2 N Wild with diamonds (cont. next page) 3 C 6331 or 8-cardsuit over relay 4C shows 8-cardsuit,3N/4• is apair 3 • 7321 or bad 7330 3 H R step 1-3 spl, 4-6 void 3 H 5332 good trumps and controls from an unlimited hand 3-4 extra HCP 3 S ditto with 6322 3N void OM , 7+ suit 4m void, 7+suit 2 S-card clubs, NF after a 1 S -opening 2 N 6-card clubs, GF 3 C 6-card clubs, NF 1M - 2 C, continued 2 H 4+ OM 2 S R 2 N Wild 3 C+ TLS (Three level scheme - see below) 2 S 4+ diamonds, not Wild hands 2 N R 3 C+ TLS 2 N Wild with 4+ C 3 C + TLS with 4+ C Apair When 3 N is the response to a relay, apair means that 4 C or 4 •has the same meaning with a better hand. Apair is in general always used in relay biddings when 3 N can be passed. When the strength already is narrowly defined or when 3 N is forcing we may have agreed not to use apair. Wild scheme (used after a Wild 2 N) 2 N - 3 C R 3 • higher void, over relay as below 3 H lower void 55 3 S lower void 64 3 N 65 4 C+ 74/66/75 TLS (Three Level Scheme) When bidding at the three level both suits are known. Suggestions on 2C/D responses to precision 1D
Adebisi replied to Chamaco's topic in Non-Natural System Discussion
Hi, i have played reverse Flannery responses for some time and i could tell u that, those 5h/4s hands and 4-10 hcp are much more frequent than strong semisolid suits.Also i havent had problems with them if i just start with 1H or 1S. When opener is balanced u have no problem, when he rebids 2c u go on with 4th suit.To loose nat 2C/D bids after 1D opening to make clear room for semisolid slammish hands that occur very rear is loss in my opinion. :) -
Suggestion needed for best use of 1D/2NT jumprebid
Adebisi replied to Chamaco's topic in Non-Natural System Discussion
Hi, as i play those sequences: 1) 1H - 1S 2NT as max 5H/4S and singleton in minor, now 3C asks: 3D/H=spl D/C and u could stay below game if needed. 3S=max 14-15 and 5H/4S22 3C/D as max 14-15 5+minor 2)1M - 1NT 2NT as max 6322 type, so 3MAJ always promises side shortness.But 2NT could also show max and any 6-4 type or hand. 3)1D - 1H 2S=max 14-15 with 4H and any sideshortness-->2NT=automatic and opener shows his short suit.Here again possible to stay below game if responder is min and short suit doesent fit. 2NT=could be max 14-15 55 minors, or maybe max 6D and 3card supp,when 3D deny 3H 1D - 1S 2NT=max 14-15 with 4S and any sideshortness-->3C=automatic and opener bids 3D/H/S with D/H/C shortness. 4)1D - 1NT 2NT when u play 10-12 NT should be max bal/or semibal
