  1. I'm sorry, my examples were not the best of the world ilustrating the question. The solely intention was if there is a consensus about what major bid when you have both majors 4/4 Thtat's all. Your have 4/4 and you think you have to bid a major: you dont have a cuebid avalilable or something else which one? Always spades, always hearts, best major, it depends on:¿? Your hand is 4432 and you do have to bid a major (because you think you have, so wich one?) 1D (X) p _? 2D (X) p _? 3D (X) p _? 4D (X) p _? Negative double would follow the same principle when you have both majors and you do have to bid a major? 1C (2D) X 1D (2C) x 1C (3D) x 1D (3C) x 1D (4C) x Rebiding principle. and bid spades so if you have to bid again, you can bid hearts? Or space principle and bid hearts when weak? Maybe the answere can depend on strengh? I mean, for example. I think it is standard to answere 1S with 4/4 and a weak hand to partner's takeout double. Not sure if it would be the same response if the opening bid were a weak two. Still spades? I read a Marty Bergens example answering 3H with a weak hand to a 3-level preempt doubled by partner (with 4/4 in the majors), but he doesn't mention why hearts and not spades. Maybe is a partnership agreement, it doensn't really matters or I'm lacking something.
  2. Hi all, when partner doubles asking for a major and you have both, response is dogmatic? Higher ranking first? More space? Are major responses similar to Stayman, in the form that usually you answere hearts when you have both majors because 2S denies 4 hearts? What do you bid? A1.- Takeout: minimun response [hv=pc=n&s=s5432h5432d432c32&d=w&v=0&b=8&a=1ddp]133|200[/hv] A2.- Takeout: intermediate response [hv=pc=n&s=skj32hkj32d32cj32&d=w&v=0&b=8&a=1ddp]133|200[/hv] A3.- Takeout: shapely intermedium: 5/4 or 4/5: Does it mind? [hv=pc=n&s=skq432hkqj2d432c2&d=w&v=0&b=8&a=1ddp]133|200[/hv] A4.- Takeout: shapely intermedium: 5/5 [hv=pc=n&s=saj432hkq432d32c2&d=w&v=0&b=8&a=1ddp]133|200[/hv] A5.- Takeout: minium with 3-3 [hv=pc=n&s=s432h432d5432c432&d=w&v=0&b=8&a=1ddp]133|200[/hv] B1.- Negative double: majors 3/3 [hv=pc=n&s=sa32ha32d5432caj2&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1d2cdp]133|200[/hv] B2.- Negative double: majors 4/4 minium [hv=pc=n&s=sa432ha432daj2c32&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1d2cdp]133|200[/hv] B3.- Negative double: majors 4/4 intermediate [hv=pc=n&s=saj32haj32daq3c32&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1d2cdp]133|200[/hv] Thanks in advance to everybody Kind Regards Paul_S

Thanks a lot Kind Regards Paul_S
  5. hi all MP All red, various scenarious 1.- South is maximun. Double would be a clear cut action? [hv=pc=n&s=skq4hq832dq542c83&d=n&v=b&b=13&a=1sp2spp3c]133|200[/hv] 2.- South is still maximun HCP but Q♣ is a dubious value [hv=pc=n&s=skq4hq832d8542cq2&d=n&v=b&b=13&a=1sp2spp3c]133|200[/hv] 2.1 Still worth a double? 2.2 What about if East overcalls 2♣ instead of balancing? Now Q♣ value is almost nothing. Pass? still double? other? 3.- What to do in south now, with 3 seat opening? [hv=pc=n&s=skq4hq832d8542cq3&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=pp1sp2spp3c]133|200[/hv] Opener can be light now because of third seat opening 3.1. pass, double or anything else? 3.2. Change the Q♣ with Q♦: would you choose another different call because no wasted values? Ty all Kind Regards, Paul_S

  7. Hi all, [hv=d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1hp1nd]133|100[/hv] What would be the meaning of redouble from opener? Big balance? any kind of extras? maybe conventional? Does opener rebid change from non competitive bidding with:? 2♥ 3♥ 2♣ 3♣ Do theese responses remain the same if no double exists? Thank you all Kind Regards, Paul_S
  8. Hi all 1D.....2N 3C? What would be consodered standard: Pass/correct or forcing? Thank you Kind Regards, Paul_S
  9. Hi all, Bots and more people bid a reverse with 4/4 in the majors playing extended walsh 1D.....1H 1NT*...2S? If 1NT doesn`t deny 4S Why do they bid a reverse with 4S and 4H instead of NMF? Ty all, Kind Regards Paul_S
  10. Hi all What would be the best meaning for this redouble? A. 1D...(2C)....p....p ....X....XX? Would this be different? B. 1D...(1S)....p....p ....X....XX? Thank you Kind Regards Paul_S

  13. Hi all, I would like to play dayly or weekly or both tournaments like daylong but with my partner. So, we can choose when to play and compete without the opps skill level issues. All opps are bots, same opps for all pairs. And even better than random groups is a ladder offline system. You have to qualify to the next level, play the same or go down a level. Some sort of tree, one group on level 1 with f.i. 64 tables, 2 level group with...64 each, four groups on the third and so on. All in all, thnks for the terrific software Kind Regards, Paul_S
  14. Hi all pass 1♠ 2♥ _? 1.- 2♥ is non forcing 2.- Assuming opener will not rebid without full opening values althought it could be a bare minimun (Wrong statement?) 3.- Why most players (I think it is but I may be wrong) disabled forcing & autoforcing when bidding again? This matter a lot playing MP so we don't want to pass 2♥ when we can make 2NT but this maybe a bad approach too. Let say opener bids, ¿we revert to normal scheme or not? a.- 2♠ - Should responder bid again? If any bid under 2NT is forcing for one round we are in standard ground, but if not and I think this is not a very disclosed area, what would mean other opener responses like: b.- 3♠ now with 14+? c.- 3NT now with good 14+? d.- 2NT good 12 to bad 14? e.- 3♣ or 3♦ are still game forcing? Ty very much Kind Regards Paul_S
  15. Hi all I think group challenge is an splendid feature, and permiting more people to play would be even better. We could creat some kind of offline tournaments. Nice for friend groups, club events, ... Pairs - Group challenge Same as group challenge but playing with a parner. With some other pairs would permit semi-offline tournaments for new ways to play. Kind Regards,
  16. Hi all, 1S p 2C (2H) ? What would you think is the best approach? A. If playing 2/1 GF A1. Pass deny stoppers or strengh? A2.- 2NT still min-max? A3.- Double is penalty oriented? A4.- 3NT? B. If playing standard (2/1 10HCP+ Just F1) B1. Pass would deny stoppers or strenght? B2. 2NT strenght? One or two stoppers requeried? B3. Double would be penalty oriented? B4.-3NT strenght? Balance hand or running suit? One or two stoppers requeried? Ty all, Kind Regards,
  17. Ty all It's clear that better methods and discussion os needed. But I wondered if there wad a standard meaning. Mainly, my concern is this, a part from anywood would be better. If jacoby transfer and 4NT is Quantative, or should be because fit is not established If texas transfer and 4Nt is RKC because the suit is 6+, the fit is assumed established If minor transfer and 3NT is kind of invitation to slam Then after minor transfer and 4NT, someone could argue that fit is implicity established, so it is ace asking. Apart from 4nt is not a good tool to ask for aces when it is a minor What would be the focus with: 1nt 2p 3c 3n slam invitational 1nt 2p 3c 4n slam invitational Maybe suit quality? Mild interest? Perfect hand? Controls? What do you think shoud be the main factors if both sequences are fine to have on the book?
  18. Assuming we dont know if 3c is super accept. Im aware there are better sequences to ask for aces or just invite, but you are at the table with a pick up parner. What should I think 4NT is from general knowledge?
  19. Hi, 1NT 2S 3C 4NT? Playing 4-Ways transfer or just 2S as club transfer. Nothing more about agreed What is supposed to be the default meaning? Quantitative or ace asking? Thanks all Kind Regards, PaulS
  20. Not playing 2/1 there are some rebidding problems with natural bids. 1♠____pass____2D____pass _? a.- AK872 A92 J82 82 b.- AK872 A92 K82 82 3NT is a good spot with hand b.- but not with a. in front of random 11HCP So a natural 2NT 12-14 can be misleading. That's why many people bids 2NT with 14 while 2♠ with flat 12-13 so responder have a clue to do. c.- AK872 K2 Q982 92 d.- AK872 K2 Q982 K2 A hand with support 12-14 vs 15+ is another issue if responder has 11HCP+ You need to diferenciate support with or without extra HCP in order to responder to know what to do with 10-12HCP e.- AK872 K82 2 K982 f.- AK872 K82 2 KQ82 A natural three level bid need extra HCP to bid, so there seems to be nothing to bid but 2♠ So, as a 2/1 bid promises 10+ and forcing to 2NT you can relay with balance 14 or even a 15 not 1NT opened, and still accept de invitation. 1♠__pass__2♦__pass ¿_?____pass____2NT___pass Game How to be on game whith theese hands? g.- AK982 K2 J82 K32 h.- AK982 82 A82 K82 i.- AK982 K2 82 KJ72 j.- AK9873 K2 8 AJ73 Now you want to show suit 6º and accept the invitation k.- AKJ872 82 8 KJ82 Now you want to correct to 3♠ to play l.- AQ9872 AK2 8 AQ8 You may have a better hand and still dont want to jump to see more about responder strengh because 2♠ would be forcing so now if you dont want to go for slam, you just want to pick a game showing 6-card suit.
  21. Hi all, 1.- Direct Seat 1♣_____(Double)_____pass_____(1♠) pass_____(2♥) What do you think is standard practice for this bid? 1a.- 17HCP+ 2b.- 18HCP+ 2c.- 19HCP+ 2d.- Any other? 2.- Balancing 1♣_____(p)_____p_____(Double) pass_____(1♠)_____p_____(2♥) What do you think is it when balancing? 2a.- 14+ 2b.- 15+ 2c.- 16+ 2d.- 17+ 2e.- 18+ Thank you all Kind Regars Paul_S
  22. If playing Sayc there are multiple issues if you need to rebid with 6. Balance hands with 5 card suit 12-14 are a problem in front of 10-12 as far as I know So, with minimun balance, the style I know rebids the major among other natural responses. Another situation arises for example 1S 2C 3C? If 3C is natural, responder with 11hcp doesnt know if openner is 12/13 or good 13/14 So, asuming 2NT promises 14 or good 13 and rebids doesnt show 6: thats the point, although maybe a bad one.
  23. Hi all, Playing SAYC (MP scoring if relevant) there are reasons to repeat a major with only five cards. Maybe not everybody agree, but assuming this is the system: 1♠ 2♣ (Just one round forcing) 2♠ 2NT _? Assuming 2♠ does not guarantee 6 cards, and 2NT just limit the hand and does not promise a baalance hand, there's a problem when accepting the invitation to reach the right strain. If 3♠ should be non-forcing, just to correct with 6+ card and a weak hand to play: Is there a good approach to accept the game invitation and show 6 card suit, so responder can choose beteewn 4M and 3N? I'm using this procedure, but I'm not really sure if it is good enough or maybe completely wrong. 1♠ 2♦ 2♠ 2N 3♥ 2♠ Does not guarantee 6 card suit and deny 4 hearts 2N promises 10-12 HCP, does not guarantee balance hand 3♠ is to play (6 cards, weak hand) 3♥ accept the invitation with 6 spades, so responder can choose to play 4♠ or 3N 1♥ 2♦ 2♥ 2N 3♠ 3♠ confirms 6 hearts and accept the invitation, asking respondedor to choose 4♥ o4 3N Sitl a problem when responder bids hearts: 1♠ 2♥ 2♠ 2N _? Still 3♠ to play? How to accept the invitation and show 6 card suit? May use 3♣ or 3♦? Tkanks all Kind Regards,
  24. Hi there, What would you think is standard (if any) in a GF sequence? 1♦____(2♠)____3♣____pass _? Assuming we're playing something standard and 3 level freebid promises 12+, game forcing Because it is a GF sequence, does opener bid just distribution? 92 QJ53 AJ62 KQ7 : 3♥? Thank very much Kind Regars, PaulS
