Hi Does anyone know of a good resource on the syntax for the partnership bidding hand dealer source code? Am looking to add things like switcheroo - is this possible?

Anyone remember Meck's play of the T♦ from ATx opp x in 5♣ years ago? Almost no one else on the planet could have made that contract on that lead because to pull the wool over Geir's eyes; you would have to find it pretty quickly... guess its time to reveal what happened... (I was dummy and didn't may too much attention to the play... I pulled to 2♦, p bid 3♣ which is where we played - comfortable make for +110. If i had passed 1NTxx it would have been +1000 - p had solidish clubs and some cards... Interestingly opps had 4♥ on but pretty difficult to find... My p wasn't impressed with the pull but almost all good people i have asked are pulling...

The actual auction was: 1♦ (2♣) x P 2♥ (3♣) 4♦ P ? Seems the consensus here is that 4♣ would agree ♥s and 4♦ is forcing showing ♦ and ♠? 3♦ would be inv therefore?

I was just wondering what people's intuitions were or if anyone had access to a load of results and could quickly give us a sample prob... For people who aren't interested - there are millions of other threads out there, most of which really are very interesting indeed... for you... :)

So any idea what the overall prob comes out to be? B)

I bid 5♦ at the table and didn't think too much of it but it got ticked on the way out, p put down: [hv=s=s98xxhxxxdxcjxxxx]133|100|[/hv] 3 off when trumps were 5-0 onside and opps defended properly and didn't let me elope with my small trumps... sigh I had doubts about 5♦ afterwards but most good people i asked agreed with what i had done, interesting split on 3♥ though - some thought western, some michaels. Doesn't look like there is a standard expert agreement for it...

On the 1st hand p put down the magical: [hv=s=sjt9xxhxxxdxxxcjx]133|100|[/hv] They did lead a club away from the queen... so i could claim at trick one when the JC held The second hand has been annoying me because i bid 3♦ at the table but three very good current international players I asked all just bid 2♦... Some of their comments were: I would bid 3 if you moved the A♣ elsewhere... Responder will strain to rebid as you opened 1♥ in 4th so won't have a dog... My reference hand for rebidding 3♦ was something like: [hv=s=sjt9xxhxxxdxxxcjx]133|100|[/hv] Do we expect/hope p to take another bid? Is this hand the borderline for 3♦ and just comes down to personal opinion? Hand 3: I agree that 2♥ seemed to be a wtp to me...

I was South and would have bid 4♥ as N i think. Was interested to here what people thought about the merits of 4♣ vs 4♥ - what should the auction be if South has: AJxx x Kxx AKQJx ?
