Thank you. It makes sense. The bidding continued, 5C, P, 5D, P and I raised to 6D with four small diamonds and singleton heart. Partner was void in Spades with solid Diamonds and 4 good clubs (which matched my clubs) to make.

Hello. I was playing this evening with a group that plays strong club (19+) semi-strong diamond (16 - 18) and weak no trump. The RH opponent opened 1H (13 - 15) and LH opponent raised to 2H (6 - 10). My partner bid 4NT.... What would you take this bid to mean please? I am so sorry. I did not realize there was a separate forum for novice and beginners and posted here. I am not sure how to move it.
