  1. I would open with west, and would bid 2S with west on the negative double, but i think that depends on your style. With east I would rebid 3NT after 2H, which I agree need to be a choiche of games.
  2. Welland Auken play also a 14-16 nt. They open almost all 11-13 and 17-19 with 1C, 1C - 1D/H (transfer walsh) - 1H/S is 11-13. 1C - 1D/H - 1SA = 17-19. 2C = 20-21 or GF bal. So they can sign off with some hands at two level. 2NT = 22-24
  3. I think it's GIB's way to say that the double can be passed for penalty? I saw this kind of description earlier when I played when I made a penalty double
  4. With the A of Clubs you just can bid 3SA? it's a gamble, but I think the robots will play that's as a running minor with a spade stop?
  5. I would bid 2NT (2C - 2D - 2NT in my own sytem), also because we have the agreement that 2SA can be 5431 if singleton honor or no rebid. In our system we can't bid SF hand, which is an advantage because with the very strong hands you don't have to jump, and jumps to 3H/3S/3SA can be used to show two suited hands
  6. i would pass, (1S) - 3SA will be based on a running minor I think? Otherwise 3SA is an option but I think the diamond lead/switch will almost Always be found. If the K of clubs was a A I would bid 3NT
  7. 1SA - 2H - 2S - 3H would in our methods be 5-5 invite. 1SA - 2K - 2R - 4m would be 5MM sleminvite, short in m. What's the best way to make difference between mild and serious slamtry in this method? We also play 1SA - 3D for the MM, now only for GF hands, maybe we can put there the serious slamtry?

  10. When will it start? Because I am now for another 1 and a half weeks in Zambia were we don't have wifi, if it starts afterwards I would like to join the 7A tournament
  11. In my opinion dbl is take-out At my partnership 2NT would be real, but maybe that's too old-fashioned :) 3m now looks for me like an invite with good m suit. In MP i will make a double and pass on everything partner answers.
  12. With East you need to bid 4S in my opinion (or some kind of relay but i would like to give the opp as little as possible information.) With my style of landy 4S will sometimes be to high, but it's teams. Maybe the lead directing double by N is also a signal for short clubs by W?
  13. The AK in H are too ugly in imp, P will often not have enough to make a game, especially if you overcall not too conservative. In mp i would dbl and hope i can get a plus score or they go to 3H.
  14. I would play the HQ, and later use the Hearts and spade entry to play towards the clubs.
  15. It looks for me as if trump switch is the best, clubs or spade isn't an option, When you switch diamond it looks like declarer can make 10 tricks in a crossruff, to prevent that a trump switch looks best
  16. I would bid 3S, 4S is much easier for the opp because 90% of the time they will double and pass, If the hearts and spades were swifted I would open on the 4th level
  17. I would pass, dbl on 4S would be values by us. I don't think this hand is good enough therefore. If parner reopens with dbl i will pass
  18. I am new on this forum, but it looks like a great opportunity to train for us. If it's possible I would like to play this evening. My BBO name is xavierf, parnters name is mobmota. I hope we are not to late.
