  1. As an answer to the last post, I have to say that the number of times that in live play we draw a wrong card is so small that I can imagine that in percentage could be less than 1%. Online play is completely diferent. You can misclik for so many reasons, like I have said befote!!!!!!!!!; mouse problem, someone kick the table of computer, children or pets around, some software bug......enough? Would be fair the opps make a silly contact that cant never be made, cause the option of UNDOS ALOWED is OFF. If BBO has a almost perfect software, why the persons in charge put that option to the decision of the tournament host? Why dont they erase that option from software? Cause in fact, all people who wants a fair game will apreciate UNDOS ON. I know lots and lots of players that dont register in tournaments that Undos not alowed, as in tourmaments where TD is playing and adjustments are not made. Best regards
  2. Hi friends As manager of Private UNIBRIDGE CLUB, i made a website where the Main Rules of the Club are posted. But also all the players and kibitzers in our Tournaments can see that in First Announces I make, in 4th place the next is announced: UNDO POLICY: To reject an UNDO for very, but very clear misclick will not be tolerated. UNIBRIDGE is a Club of FAIR PLAY. Not nice try to win using unauthorided methods. This is a rule made for the Club, all members know (or must know that ), and they all agree with this one and the rest of the Rules we have. When a new Member is acepted, is always warned to LEARN the rules we have in the CLUB. And more, with all tournaments posted are uploaded the CONDITIONS OF CONTEST, where this particular rule can be well seen. I know that many members dont even care to see them, so when problems happened, they feel very surprised about what the TD or HOST tells. I consider to have NO UNDOS on online play very unfair, cause all we know the problems we have with Computers, Mouses, Software bugs, etc., etc. Happens to me once in a tournament with NO UNDOS, that i misclick a card and opps made 3 NT +2, when in facts the contract will be set with 4 downs. Was this a most fair rule? I dont think so. And more, UNIBRIDGE is played by the better players on BBO, all tournaments with several BBO Stars, and I am sure that they play there because they consider it as one of the best tournaments that UNIBIDGE Members can play on BBO. Many thanks for your attention. Good luck all in life and bridge ventures.
  3. Sorry I forget one thing. I want to excuse myself if the adjustment maid was a so TERRIBLE option, if all feel that. But i have my conscience clean about the matter, cause was maid with the BEST OF INTENTIONS. Good luck all in your life and bridge ventures. Big hug
  4. Hi friends The pair subed was neither German or Norwegian. They will no doubt bid 7♥, I know they will. I know that because they have enough bridge knowledges to bid the grand. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Of course the TD will keep the result, if looking for the board, the bid was very diferent from table to table. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But the board was so flat that like everybody knows all tables had bidid 6♥ or 7♥. Only the pair of subs, that faced a bid that was at the time at level 4, by unagreement about what they both play stop the auction in 5♥. I do not know if the ruling was permited by the "books" or not. An Average ++ seems to me unfair too for both sides, cause like i said previously, the board will be bided by all in 6 or 7. Im sure the adjustment for 6♥+1 was the most fair for all, and for tourney comparation of the board. Cherdano was advised previouly to the adjustment, that will be the most fair for all to adjust to 6, and the answer was an "yes". Adjustment made, and Hrothgar disagrees, was in his right, but I fell that unfair will be to keep the result, and by a terrible mistake made by subs, to afford a lot of IMPs that in reality will not belong to them. (Im just talking only of what is fair or not, and not about the ruling itself). Online Directing has this stanges situations, The TDs make their best efforts to do the best they can, and in free tourneys, it was understandable that any Club cant pay to professional TDs, am I right? I have the highest respect for the work , may be sometimes with some mistakes, to the BBO TDs, that work hardly some hours per day organizing tourneys for BBO comunity of players can have fun and improve the game between their partnerships. They only expect from all consideration for their efforts and work. (Im speeking for myself). Best regards
  5. Hi my dear Ece As you know I strongly support FOT. Like you strongly support UNIBRIDGE CLUB. I think the idea is prety good. I hope that BBO Stars folow your idea, and that will provide to BBO comunity high quality tourneys sponsored this way. I think this will be the first time that on BBO we would see tourneys under this format. I wish you all the luck, you deserve all the sucess. Big kiss :)
  6. In the agressiv bridge play we saw in actuality, I think a PASS is out of my mind. Of course will open 1♠, and lets see what happens. Any board has it story and a kind of own "soul". Bridge is a chalenge.
  7. All the TDs know very well that some payer/pair are using non authorized methods to achieve good results in tourneys, its like a phobia. Lots of complains we receive from Star and Fair players, brcause of strange auctions, leads, etc. Because we have no prooves we only can tell them that we are going to keep an eye on the player/pair in question. We know that some players use 2nd account as kib in a 2nd computer to see the complete layout of the board. How many times do you saw to bid hard slams in one round of the auction? My question is: Can we have a software option to close to kibs a specific table? We have the option to close kibs in all tourney, but it will be not fair for honest kibs to be out of the game when they want to see in play a friend, teacher or menthor. I think with this system we wil disencourage a lot of unfair players.
  8. Very usefull, thx a lot Roland. B)
  9. Good point, I know very well the problem cause when I am directing I receive a lot of chat messages from people that certanly think I am simply doing nothing.
  10. I agree with Jillybean, when we are directing, we must always warn players to call TD to table when a sllow play is obvious. We have the chance to increase time for the round, because as we must well know, the slow play can happens cause of bad connections. We all know too very well the problems we have during Vugraph transmissions. So the best way is add time and make adjustments.
  11. The best way to handle with the problem is to use a wonderful tool: OKScript Its free, you only to download it. Whith it even if you want to send a long message you have just to hint a button. Very simple
  12. The best tool we can have to sent those messages is the OKScript. Its free, you can download it Everytime you want to send a message, even a long one, you have only to hint one button. Very simple
  13. Hi all Yesterday, playing a tourney, arrives to my table one player that has me in "black" :D The tourney has a Mandatory Rule, when arrived to a new table, we must announce System, leads and Carding in all rouds, for Failure 1 trick penalization. I made the announce, opps dont , so I call the TD. The player in question acuses that I havnt annouced too. If that happens because he cant see my chat, I think that in tourneys, even if the player as ON the option to not receive messages from enemies, this situation must be changed in order those kind of accusation can ever be made. I think, so, that in tourney play, the player must be obliged to see everything what at table was said. Best regards calabres
  14. I have nothing more to say. The actions stays with the people who makes them. Im a bidge lover, I am member of almost all Clubs in BBO and I respect them all. Long life to BBO and Bridge in general. Calabres
  15. If I may put in my two cents worth here, since I spend a major part of my time on bbo kibitzing, I would say that the only two clubs that have advanced+ players only as members, are Topflight and Stars. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I only can smile about this kind of comments.I would like to see "oficial" kibitzers prove in playing their skill level . This kind of insinuations only show the fault of respect to the hundreds and hundreds of players of Abalucy Club. Why is this Club so atacked if it is the biggest internet Bridge Club? Everyday we have a lot of players trying to join as members of this Club, and the major part is not accepted. We try to keep Abalucy a Club where bridge lovers can play in peace. A big number of TopFlight and Stars Members are in Abalucy too. Please lets try all to avoid this silly wars on behalf of bridge sanity. Calabres
