  2. There are several methods to make BBO bigger. *) Use fullscreen for browser tab *) Use bigger Zoom in your browser (Chrome: click on address bar; Then press Ctrl-+) This way the web-bbo can be made much larger than the windows-bbo. Only your screen size is the limit.
  3. Does BBO have any plans for supporting Robot players (other than GIB)? Ideally there could be some kind of API that supports: * Creation of robot-type user profiles * Login * Play at table * Play at multiple positions simultaneously * Vugraph/demo games input * Possibly some other features which are available to everyone
  4. Thank you for the nice explanation! I think I was asking for a wrong thing. It seemed to me, that GIB improved its play recently (1-2 days ago). I assumed it had to be GIB new version. But I guess the assumption was wrong. Is it possible that GIB bidding system changed, while GIB is still the same version? Is the bidding system of GIB also versioned?
  5. Robots have no profile on BBO. However there could be lots of useful information there: version, author, issue reporting mechanism etc. Does Gib have a version number? Is this public information? Where can it be seen?
  6. I found a solution to the annoying mails on login: Disable emails from user named "BBO". To do this, view user "BBO" and add him to "ignore" list. Nice solution BBO :)
  7. Has anyone else noticed this phenomena or is it just me? Happens all the time...
  8. I think this is only occurs on the first board of the table only.
  9. I have had this issue twice already. Last one was 1-2 months ago. Webclient. I become declarer. Opening lead is made. However I don't see the lead nor dummy. How do I know that opening lead is made? * The beep sound indicates that a move was made. * My partner name turns from gray to yellow indicating that it is his turn. However opening leader name remains gray too. I have tried to fix it by asking undo (and rejecting). Standing up and sitting down. But these have not helped me. Only thing that has helped my is "keyboard input". I try to play the 2. Then the 3. And so on. Finally the 4 was accepted. Then this card is played from dummy and I see the lead, dummy and the card is played from dummy. However the cards in the first trick are in wrong order. It looks as if I was the first to play a card in the trick (in fact i was the last). Starting from trick 2 everything proceeds as normal.
  10. Two suggestions. * Announcing the Free daylong tournament results should be more user friendly. Currently a "mail" is sent. This seems like a hack. It also means that If I log on, I cannot do anything else before reading/deleting my mail/mailbox. I cannot even logoff. However on the right there are 3 tabs: 1. News, 2. Who's online, 3. Results. I suggest showing tournament results in one of those tabs on the right. * If I am idle from BBO for 1 hour, then BBO displays a warning message "BBO thinks you are away". Why is there a sound alert with the message? I think the message is really low-priority one, if i don't click "OK" nothing bad happens. Please remove the sound from the message.
  11. I like that there is a claim button when playing at the Daylong tournament. However, in order to claim: * You must be on lead (having won the last trick). * You must be declarer (switched from dummy or not). In other cases the claim button acts as concede button. This is really misleading. I have sometimes tried to claim all trick, but this resulted in conceding all tricks. Both of them require two clicks, initiate request and confirm request. What is worse, the robots accept all concedes or claims for fewer tricks, even if they are theoretically impossible (eg I have only trumps left). I have two suggestions to the software: 1. Concede button should be renamed "concede" not "claim". 2. Robots should reject theoretically impossible claims or concedes. Thank you!
  12. On some weekends there are 10+ matches live on Vugraph. Some of these matches are important only regionally and not interesting for general public or international-english-commentators. Would it be possible to change the kibitzing policy in the Vugraph Theatre? Allow everybody to comment if some (or all) of these conditions are true: * Less than 100 kibitzers * No registered vugraph commentators * Vugraph operator sets the match to be "open for everyone" * something else Thanks
  13. On the right part of the screen the "NS" and "EW" columns are too wide, and IMP columns are too narrow. Repro steps: 1. Log in 2. Click "Bridge Master" (on home screen) 3. Back 4. Help me find a game -> Take me to the table Expected: the results on right should be normal. Actual: can't see imps. After that even Logoff does not fix the widths, only reloading the Flash client in browser window.
  14. Thanks. Looks like this is the case. I never cared about invisible people until I started a tourney with one. As we were registered and he appeared to be offline, I thought our registration was going to be cancelled. Not true! I can start a tourney with "Offline" person, if he is logged in invisibly.
  15. I cannot see that my friend is online. If I click his handle, his profile says "Offline". However: * He is my partner in a tourney right now. * His profile says, that I am following him + he is following me. * I can chat with him. * He is not displayed in "Who is online" section, other friend are displayed. * The problem is with only 1 person * The problem started 12 hours ago, after the server restart. It was ok before that. We were registered to a tourney, but the downtime was 30 minutes instead of 10, so we could not begin it.
  16. When I used download client, I could set my email address, as part of my profile. I guess that info is still there, however it is not visible/nor changeable in Flash. I dont use download client myself, and I dont have access to it any more. As the information there is misleading, I would like to delete it. What is the easiest method to change the email in my profile?
  17. I thought it is not possible to play the same deal twice. But as it occured to me, I think it is a bug. Here is the evidence. The 6:31 case: I joined a table after the deal was generated. Someone had left my cards, but he had not bid with them yet. So it was "my hand", not someone else's. The 7:06 case: I joined an empty table, I was the second to join (my p as south was host). This was the Board #1.
