  1. Art, above, mentioned how all local tournaments have sections, which is true. But in tournaments, they make sure that the number of A, B, and C players in each section are equal. I don't see them doing it here... I've been in sections with all highly ranked players, while the other section had few ranked players, thus my gripe (which rude Art obviously didn't realize when he told all of those not happy with sections to "grow up"). It appeared to me once, when I kept track of the order in which players signed on, that the sections are set AS the players sign on (basically the first 15 to join are in one section, the next 15 in another section, etc.). Maybe it was just a coincidence. But I'm still not happy with sections as set up now by BBO.
  2. Again, same thing most times I play.. I was 9th out of 42 or 43 players, got no masterpoints, but three people in another section got points, with percentages far less than mine. If this cotinues, I will no longer support BBO. It's no fun. As stated above.. why not just pull out of a hat those who get masterpoints.
  3. Go back to the old way. Seeing a person with a 57% game get no award and then seeing many with percentages below 50% in the same event getting points because they were arbitrarily in a different section is frustrating, and, if it happens frequently, lessons enthusiasm to play on BBO at all (except for the weaker players who benefit from sections).
  4. IF you're going to stick to "sections", I feel that, if it can accurately be done, they've got to be equitable in the numbers of A,B and C players in each section... this is obvious based on my results mentioned (above), and seconded by Xeno123 (above).
  5. I do not like the "sections" system. Yesterday, I handily beat 5 of the 6 point-getters in the other section, and I won no points. I had a 56% game, and three of the "winners" in the other section were below 50%. Is this stratified? Go back to straight scoring. Why pay to play at BBO if the system is so silly. They might just as well put all the players in a tourney in a hat and draw to see who wins points. I think the one who devised this system is probably the same person who taught the robots how to bid.
