  1. my partner must be very pleased to see your comment, he said to have nine card fit, and also looking for a 4-4, is possessed by the devil!
  2. A lot of bidding methods can explore this hand perfectly, for example, my relay system, but I must admit that yours is simple and clear!
  3. As a result, I may have parked in the 5♦, because I have to worry about hearts may have 2 losers. The fact that partner bypass the hearts to cue-bid spades, and wrong side declare!
  4. BBO system Notes: After a Jacoby 2NT raise, 3 level bids show shortness, 4 level bids show good 5 card suits. [hv=pc=n&w=s85haqj62d94ckq74&e=sa32hk743da3caj85]266|100[/hv] 1♥ - 2NT 4♥ - ?? West 4♥ says minimum without shortness, What East can do now?
  5. Your analysis is very convincing, in particular, is identified after 4SF and trumps consent of 4NT is RKC. The following are two hands: [hv=pc=n&w=s4hkt962dakjt87c4&e=saq6h4d9432cakqt7]266|100[/hv] Over 4NT, partner bid 6NT (obviously play 4NT as quantitative!) North holding ♥AQJ By the way, over 3♦ if you want to make a slam-cooperative move, will u bid 3♥ or 3♠ with those holding?
  6. was surprised to find misplant E / W, so hurriedly corrected, very sorry.
  7. was surprised to find misplant E / W, so hurriedly corrected, very sorry.
  8. Hate is a strong word But I really, really, really hope you can compromise 1♦ opening is to consider the rebid, not too far off the mark!
  9. AS East You open 1♦ with:[hv=pc=n&e=saq6h4d9432cakqt7]133|100[/hv] the bidding went: East West 1♦ 1♥ 2♣ 2♠ 2NT 3♦ 3NT 4NT What's the 4NT here? And are you happy with 3NT bid last round?
  10. [hv=pc=n&s=shakq852dqj742c42&w=sajt85hjt9dk65cjt&n=skq743h64dacak853&e=s962h73dt983cq976]399|300[/hv] You are quite right, bid 4♥ instead of 3NT, this is the 4 hands diagram. But will partner realise you have 16 HCPs which include 6 controls?
  11. [hv=pc=n&s=shakq852dqj742c42&n=skq743h64dacak853&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=1h1spp2dp3np4dp4hppp]266|200[/hv] This is NS holding, and the bidding at my table By the way, East have ♦Kxx and the trumps was a friendly 3-2 :)
  12. [hv=pc=n&n=skq743h64dacak853&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=1h1spp2dp3np4dp]133|200[/hv] Yes, Partner undoubtedly had 3NT in mind, at the table, he go straight for it. If you trust partner, Can you figure out what that 4♦ meaning is, and, What do you bid?
  13. This is my idea of what a cue bid (2♠) should look like. Over your 2♠, partner bid 4♥[hv=pc=n&n=skq743h64dacak853&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1h1spp2dp2sp4hp]133|200[/hv] Now, What do you bid?
  14. [hv=pc=n&n=skq743h64dacak853&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1h1spp2dp]133|200[/hv] What do you bid?
  15. For your information, at my table, we end up to play in 6♣. Why should I blame my partner? He did nothing wrong. As to 2♥ usually honour doubleton heart support, cos sometime, you might hold AQ10762 looking for slam; or AK963 just interest in game, you need to know partner hearts holding: Hx (for slam hand) or xxx 3-small to play in 4♥. By the way, if we can say Hx with 2♥, and 2NT for 1-2 card heart, all three level must be 3-card hearts, this is some sort of Adjunct, something similar to Hardy Adjunct after New Minor Forcing.
  16. [hv=pc=n&s=sakthkqj9dak6c763&n=sj87hat7d7cakjt54&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1cp1hp2cp2dp2hp4np5hp5np6cp7hppp]266|200[/hv] The bidding was happened at the other table. At my table, the bidding was exactly same up to 2♥, I took its usually honour doubleton heart support, since he can bid: 2♠ to show natural 4-card suit 2NT to show 3-2-2-6, 2-2-3-6 or 3-1-3-6 3♣ to show 3 card hearts and a good clubs 3♦ to show 3 card hearts and ♦-shortage 3♥ to show 3 card hearts and 2-3-2-6, clubs is so so 3♠ to show 3 card hearts and ♠-shortage 3NT to show solid clubs As long as my partner failure to bid 3NT over my 2♦, the 7♣ is an impossible contract to me!
  17. Using the natural methods start from: 2♣ - 2NT = natural, 10+ points, balanced this will lead us to the good grand slam.
  18. OKScript is widely used to create a button bars for okbridge (and other online) players. It greatly simplifies the alerting process. In okbridge, the target window is OKbridge Can someone tell me what's the target window in BBO?
  19. Relay players tend to fall into two groups; those who abandon their system after virtually any interference and those who don't. My relay approach is definitely the latter. Relay systems can deal extremely well with even high-level interference. I would like to share with anyone or read your method over Interference in Relay Auctions! Let's start from this auction: 1D (2D) ?? Moscito 1D = 10-14, no Major RHO overcall 2D = natural, diamonds suit You have: KQ984 AK6 void A10985 What's your bid in your method? My method is double to initiate a Game force relay Now the auction proceed: 1D (2D) dbl (2H) The 1D opener hold: A62 52 KJ5 KQ432 What's the rebid by 1D opener? Do you abandon your system or do you keep relaying?
  20. "I was able to get what I believe to be 12 good pages written. The information includes: 1. An introduction to Symmetric Relay 2. Resolving shape for 2 suited hand patterns" The Ultimate Club devotes 46 pages to the 1C opening and continuations. A Comparison between 12 with 46 is quite different. However, the original version of Moscito, which we'v played since 1989, the relay auctions consist of three tables (for balanced, one-suited, two-suited hands) only. North - KQJ93 AJ963 Q76 South 10972 A74 8 AK1084 DLR: South 1992 Australia National Open Teams, 1n round 9, Despite partner and me relaying to 7C on the above NS cards for a 16 IMP swing, we lost the match 12-18. :)
  21. hand 1, 2, and 3 from hrothgar all open 1H, since hand 1 and 2 are unbalanced and hand 3 have a 1NT rebid over 1H* relay. hand 4, we open 1NT. Move a small heart to club, we would prefer to open 1D. In old version Moscito, there is no flexibility or judgement permitted in the choice of one-level openings and therefore any suit texture is acceptable. Modified version, we can have another option when opening. Stan
  22. Because there is no Balanced minimum response to a Relay, and also it is often difficult to break-out into a playable spot. Once, we modify our Moscito: 1H/S openings: 4+cards suit, denies 4 in other Major, unbalanced. 1NT: Both Majors. 1D: No 4-Major, unless 4333 or 4432( not both Major) minimum. We are now playing another modified version of Moscito as below: 1H/S openings: 4+cards suit, unbalanced. 1NT: 12-14 Balanced. 1D: No 4-Major, unless 4333 or 4432( not both Major) minimum. Such openings might be described as kaleidoscopic one-bids, as their main feature is to change frequently, perhaps as opponents become familiar with the method. By the way, other than Symmetric Relay, we play simplified Relay Structure - a method which can be managed after 20 minutes learning even for everage player! Stan
