Obviously, in your world "bad" is also a "idiocy" synonyms?

A telephone call, preferably from a nearby hospital.

Try this problem: East dealer: Both vulnerable Team game, EW a catch up partner, play 2/1 [hv=pc=n&w=skj95haq86da74c83&d=e&v=b&b=10&a=1c2ddp5cp]133|200[/hv] 2♦ a weak jump overcall What would you do as West?

Sorry, means 5M, everybody knows 5NT is Grand Slam Invitation!
-
So even "the hog" raise up his ♠9, when you play your last ♦, trying trump-promotion, can only stop you to score the overtricks! That's might be the reason why he took down his post in a second, he is clever enough to work out the contract is cold in such a short time!

Hi Rainer, "the hog" has been at the helm of BBO Discussion Forums for more than 9 years, and has gained an Excellent reputation for his skill in decide who's post is nonsense and which bid is idiotic. He was particularly well known to play good bridge by mouth. So we'd better not mess with him. When I reveal all hands, "the hog" hd questioned immediately with his killing ♦ opening lead and ask me to play my 6♠, but only few second he took down his post and started to claim that 6♣ is actually a better contract.... Now Rainer, against "the hog" killing defense, would you please help me to find a line to bring the contract home with the real 4 hands as bellow, Cos in real life, when i play in 6♠ they lead a club to pick up the suit for me, my 13 tricks scoring is just trivial! [hv=pc=n&s=s93hqj3dj53c98542&w=skq54hat98642dq7c&n=sj862hk5dt986cq76&e=sat7h7dak42cakjt3]399|300[/hv] The bidding contains an "idiotic" 2♠: 1♥ - 2♣ 2♥ - 2♠ 3♠ - 5♠ 6♠ FYI, at the other table, my oppo did play in 6♣ exactly as per "the hog" suggest, and hd received the TRUMP lead! And still went one off for hundred dollars. Their bidding went: 1♥ - 2♣ 2♥ - 3♦ 3♠ - 6♣ Best Regards Stan Lee Sydney Australia

West dealer: EW vulnerable [hv=pc=n&w=sq98h6da864cakt54&d=w&v=e&b=16&a=1dp1sp2sp3hp]133|200[/hv] We do promise four trumps, over Partner's helping suit game try, what's next?

Thank you, you and I are few and rare species! My real holding is ♠A107, my right hand oppo ♠J862.

South dealer: NS vulnerable the hands: [hv=pc=n&s=skj2ha6dkqt9cq965&w=s754hkj3dj632ct74&n=saq98hq942dacaj82&e=st63ht875d8754ck3]399|300[/hv] At the table, the bidding went: 1NT - 2♣ 2♦ - 6NT Since 4NT is Quantitative and 6NT for those who is feeling optimistic) My question now is whats the 5NT means here? Can this be a choice of slam? Partner will bid his 4+ minor on the way to 6NT.

The residue (♠/♦) can be 1-3, 2-2, 3-1, 1-2, 2-1, 3-0, 0-3. On the OP hand, if partner has a side ♦K, how good the grand is?

Play bbo advanced system Notes [hv=pc=n&n=saq98hq942dacaj82&d=s&v=n&b=15&a=1np2cp2dp]133|200[/hv] What should North do now?

1♥ - 2NT 3♣ - 3♦ = Ask 3♥ - 4♣ = RKC-♥+♣ 4NT- 5♦ = Keep going 5♠ - 6♣ = To play 3♣ = undisclosed 4-card minor suit 3♥ = 4-clubs (3♠= 4-diamonds) Over 3♥: 3♠ is a relay for residue, 3NT = RKC-longer suit (♥), Here we have 9-card heart fit, 3NT can't be final contract! 4♣ = RKC-♣+♥, the final contract will be club! 4♦ = End-Signal, Opener is obliged to bid 4♥, and to pass any following bid 4NT = 2+♣Q 5♠ = ♥Q but not ♠K PS: Over 5♦, if opener says 5NT (♥Q,♠K but not ♦K), responder can happily bid 7♣

At the table, over partner spade raise, I jump to 5♠ which should let partner know what the trump suit is going to be for the slam. I don't understand why i failured to dance the keycard toy.
-
I thought ♠A107 changed AJ10 can slightly reduce the intensity of the criticism, not think of still been criticized severely. However, to bring the 6♠ home with actually A107 holding, do not have to rely on a favorable club openning lead. Since North holding is J862.
-
Good point! Treat 2NT as if it were a new suit, this is very simple and extremely handy and I have been playing it ever since 1990, but only with friend. 1H - 2C 2H - 2NT 3S - ??
-
Are you kidding? You should want to say 7S is a very poor contract!
-
How about 3♠ after your 3♦, what will be your next bid?
-
Whenever partner raise your second suit, he promised to have 4-card support, so are you sure the spades contracts must be excluded from any of the denominations? The hands are: [hv=pc=n&s=s93hqj3dj53c98542&w=skq54hat98642dq7c&n=s8762hk5dt986cq63&e=sajth7dak42cakjt7]399|300[/hv]

Idiocy. Ridiculous. Maybe that's okay for kids who are sick (but then, parents of Celiac kids often find themselves criticised for their cruelty in restricting their diets.)
-
At table, I think if partner have diamond suit, he will bid 2♦ intead of 2♥, and if I bid naturally (3♦ reverse), which will force partner to bid 4♣ for his preference. Or bid 3♠ when he have 4-cards spade suit. 2♠ generate a support was an accident, but compare to the sequence below: 1♥............2♣ 2♥............3♦ 3♥ or 3♠...?? Relatively simple problem?

Try this problem: South dealer: Both vulnerable [hv=pc=n&e=sajth7dak42cakjt7&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=p1hp2cp2hp2sp3sp]133|200[/hv] 2♥ = forcing, does not show a 6-card hearts! What would you do as East?
-
This is good point! If partner then bid 4H over 4D, is it a cue-bid or implies a tolerance or even a mild fit for responder's hearts?
-
NT was first bid by East (2NT over 4SF) as well, so I never want to play slam in this hand, all I concerned is how high to go?
-
I did some modification, but my partner refused to change, he said to have nine card fit, and also looking for a 4-4, is possessed by the devil! Just for fun, please see the following: 1♥ - 2NT ?? 3♣ = undisclosed 4-card minor suit 3♦ = 1-suiter with undisclosed shortness 3♥ = 1-suiter, No shortness, extra values 3♠ = 4-cards ♠ 4X = 5-card suit 1♥ - 2NT 3♣ - 3♦ (Relay) 3♥= 4-cards clubs Responder can relay with 3♠ to find out shortness or equal-residue!
