  1. I disagree. Without a double, overcaller shouldn't lead from, say, KJTxxx round to opener's assumed AQ. The double says that I have help in your suit - it is safe to lead it. Often, to make 3NT declarer will have to play Hearts himself, so leading it will just cost a tempo. Eric.
  2. There are three things wrong 1) Your partner shouldn't get angry! If he had asked you why you had bid 6C he would have discovered that: 2) You and he have different ideas about the strength shown by a reverse. You were expecting a much stronger hand; he thinks a reasonable, distributional hand is enough. But ... 3) Your jump to 6C was precipitious, if partners hand is S KQ H D AKJTx C KJTxxx then he definitely has hid bids, but 6C is still down. I would have supported clubs on the previous round (not bid NT without a stopper in Spades), but on the auction you had, I would have bid 4C, not 6C, to give partner a chance to cue-bid to slam or bail out in game Eric
  3. We could keep our own notes, but it is much easier for us if the software does it for us. It would only take a simple text file, stored on the user's machine, which the user could add to if he wishes. There just needs to be enough room for a few simple comments. And when one hovers over a name in BBO, if that name is in the file then the comments appear along with their own description. I have come across people whose descriptions of their own skill level are very different from reality. it would be nice to have something to remind me how good they really are! Thanks for listening Eric
