  1. My thanks to all of you for helping improve my bridge knowledge.
  2. He did have a good hand: 3 spades, 4 hearts 4 diamonds 2 clubs, 22 pts. Had he doubled I would have bid 3 hearts and I'm sure he would have said four, but, I didn't... I did think maybe he had both majors, but, failed to act on it.
  3. An advanced player joined the table as my partner. I am supposedly intermediate. Three club opener by east. I had no pts and passed. West passed. My partner bid 4 clubs. Pass, pass, pass. Please tell me what my partner's bid meant?
  4. My p bids 1h. I have 6pt and 3 small hearts, so my response is 2h. P then bids 3d. I pass and p is upset, saying I should have rebid hearts. Please tell me if that's what I should have done?
  5. In local play, opponent alerted 4 clubs, which was obviously Gerber. Our games are ACBL and I wonder if alerting a simple bib is acceptable?
  6. Thanks for your helpful response. Much appreciated.
  7. My experience is some of my partners disagree if I deny an undo. They want ops to know I was the one denying. Yesterday, when I denied an undo, my partner began a barrage of unsults to me, that finally he was booted, whereupon, he continued by sending private insults. Similar situations have happened in past weeks. Seems to me It's forcing me to allow any and all undos just to keep the table in good humor.
  8. Players from Greece were often playing, (at relaxed game tables), when I first joined BBO. Perhaps it's my imagination, but, for 2 or 3 weeks, I've not encountered any players from Greece. Being aware of the upheaval they've experienced, I wonder if their internet connection is the problem. Does anyone know anything about this?
  9. Can't get it to work... :$ blush
  10. Thanks. It's not kibitzers, as you said. I'll happily mark the men that are bothering me as enemies. Had no idea that would prevent their messages. These men have problems.
  11. Is there a way to not allow private messages? Especially from people outside the table. Closing the chat window seems to be the only way, which creates the loss of communicating openly with others at the table and fails to stop the private messages.
  12. I saw an embarrassed smilie recently in BBO, but, cannot figure out how to make it. Does anyone know? I would appreciate it so much. Thanks
