They have a working sac in diamonds?

Down one is a second to top, down two is a disaster. Lots of ew in part scores making 110 or 140. A♦ was off sides. Pitching on the third spade works like a charm for down 1. :)

How to define an expert

To some extent, for the same reason you feel the need to ask that question. Passing curiosity. But to answer the real question: Because it is human nature to measure ourselves against each other by some arbitrary yardstick. And I am a human. -
No public chat on the tablets, never used chat to find dupli, so not sure how it makes it easier. Very likely there is another way to get what you want without chat, as chat isn't even included on the web version of bbo.

I assume imps? 6nt seems pretty automatic at matchpoints.

Not sure what you are getting at. Obviously nuclear power isn't renewable, but that isn't a quote of passedout's belief. I read the eventually in "eventually must" as in we are consuming them faster then nature is renewing them, thus they will eventually run out. Just because we have the technology doesn't mean we have to use it. The proportion of the dirtier fuels will decline in lock step with our technology ability? Nonsense. Consumers will end up paying more in taxes for their energy, however, the government can use that revenue to offset taxes from other sources creating a net overall wash in taxes for the consumers. Just incase you didn't follow that. The cost of coal sourced energy goes up due to taxes. The revenue collected from the coal tax is offset by tax breaks elsewhere, net effect no tax increase.

How would you break down the different ranks based on that stat? -

I don't think he was suggesting that they were crank sites, I think he was suggesting that you are a crank for thinking that these sites actually propose the elimination of dirty energy. He was making a caveat that there might be some crank sites that actually do propose the immediate elimination of all dirty energy, but these are not those sites and you have not actually found one yet.

A pretty simple problem. [hv=pc=n&s=s9743hakqj64d52c3&n=st2h82dk64ckj9842&d=e&v=n&b=2&a=p1h1s2c2d2hppp]266|200[/hv] First trick is K♠ over taken by A♠. Second trick rho leads the 5♠ won by lho with the J♠. Third trick starts with lho leading the 6♠. What do you do.

How to define an expert

Raw talent does not an expert make. Combine that raw talent with a plethora of system/conventions/methods of signaling and win a number of unlimited regional gold point events. Really just win a number of unlimited regional gold point events. -
Just having enough water isn't enough, you need to have the water at the right time. Societies have developed with the expectation of the water coming at a certain time of the year. Having it come 5 months earlier, all at once, is not a good thing. Glaciers function as natural dams, they hold the water until the warm season when it is needed. You don't need all of them to melt, just the ones that feed the river systems, the ones that partially melt each year(else there would be no rivers) to melt out completely. One thousand years is an awful long time and I do think there are indications that some of those glaciers will disappear. I never said when I think they will melt and no matter when it is, there will still be humans depending on them, be it 300 years or 1000 years. Given how long it takes the Earth to cycle carbon out of the ecosystem these are issues that will come up and the only ones who may have ever had a hand in making the decisions that impact the climate in the year 3000 are the generations that exist now.

Numbers like these are arbitrary, it is only meaningful in comparison to something, like percentage of gnp. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PublicDebtTriade.PNG

Yea i mixed up my lho and rho :( I had it this way in my head, you can tell by who i did in fact finesse.
-
K♠ then finesse rho. Looks like rho has stiff ♦ and thus more likely more spades, while i'd like to keep lho off lead it is rather immaterial as rho can always put him back on lead with a heart. Edit: dyslexia strikes again, had my lho and rho switched

Shorten dummies trump by leading club ace. All the nightmare scenarios where partner has either 5 clubs and/or a void in spades, giving declarer 5 spades and thus 5 hearts as per his preference, involve hands I would expect partner to support clubs on. This assumes partner refused to lead a stiff spade, which makes sense if he has natural heart tricks and doesn't expect me to be able to get on lead enough times to ruff enough spades to make it worth while.

Partner can't bid over 1♦ and it isn't because he is sitting with a bunch of diamond strength. My partner is weak and has no 5 card majors. I think I pass, I like my mp chances better defending 1♦ then I do risking going down in hearts or the more likely case of helping them find their better scoring spade fit.

QE is effectively the same thing as printing money and who says the bankers are not dying to spend it. They need some way to keep their multi million dollar a year compensation packages afloat, they have proved incapable of keeping those compensation packages afloat through constructive contribution to society.
-
Laugh. That is so idiotic that if I didn't know better I would think you were doing it intentionally. The rock is unaffected by my caring about it.

For a penalty double, not much, ktxxx of spades and nothing else would be enough. You can't have to many points otherwise at this vulnerability you would find your way to 3nt. For a takeout, if you have extreme distribution, again not much, zero could be enough with some distributions. But for a more typical distribution, you are forcing to the 3 level vulnerable so probably 7+. No upper limit as you will get to bid again after your partner takes it out.

This applies to any glacier fed river system, once they melt the water will run when the water comes down rather then when the glaciers melt. For China's rivers, the three gorges dam may be able to take the place of the glaciers, delaying the water until the growing season. In theory India should be able to do the same.

As energy demand is increasing and most of that supply is going to be coal based, I worry more about what the world will look like in 200 years than 90 years. We will have at least a couple of degrees by 2100, I accept that, it will be bad but not the end of the world, well not for many, not yet. Climate is a very slow moving, impossible heavy train rumbling down the tracks to an uncertain future. If we sent it off on a set of tracks that go off a cliff will we see it with enough certainty early enough to stop it? 2 degrees by 2100 is the consequence of what we have done. What is the consequence of what we will do(increased demand from China, India) by 2200, another 2 degrees? 4 degrees? This stuff lingers on timescales that we humans do not think in, what does this mean for the temperature in 2500?

Pretty sure mercury is tidally locked(same side faces the sun at all times) True, due to having no atmosphere, there is no mixing of temperatures between the day and night side, however having no atmosphere there is no ambient temperature. In the sun, you are instantly dead, not in the sun you are as cold as you are on the moon when there is no sun. There is no in-between.
