Firefox crashes often in BBO. Oftentimes during the weekly free tournament. I am able to return to BBO using another browser, usually chrome, and continue the tournament where I was before the crash. I also have had a crash while playing with others humans, but not usually playing solitare bridge with robots. My firefox says it is up to date. So you are not alone in finding Firefox is more unstable on BBO than some other browsers.
