I play those Robot tournaments (i.e. 1 human + 3 robots) because I found them useful as a good exercise.. Looking at the board traveler, it was played 89 times with the same score: 50% ! Question is what is the purpose of such a flat board ? Because Novice or World Class player, your score is pulled towards 50%. ..And to make matters worse, the board is not played by everyone, just 89 times out of about 15000 players!

Hello BBO support, Running BBO from a PC, Google browser.. After a tournament/team-match ends or viewing a message, a mini window appears with the results/content and there is an option to click a small square on top-left (near "X" -close window) and open the content in a new full window; Since a few days ago, opening a mini window in a new full window doesn't work! I don't know is it is a browser problem or a BBO UI problem.. I notice same problem few times in the past but after a day the problem disappeared. Anyone had the same or is just me? Thanks, Dan G.

I did not have a choice of different robots so I assume a basic Robot. Didn't work.. Your other hint of "ask a friend" is interesting.. Problem is a friend lurking idle through BBO is rare. This bring me to the question: is it possible to swap people around the tables i.e West-Table1 <=> West-Table2 and back ? :unsure:

Actually on the Team Matches I play, one can leave only by logging off, and the seat is reserved for that player. When that player log in again he is placed on his seat (a nice feature of team matches).

Thank you for your "Robot" advise but I don't think is working.. I started a Team-Match with only 2 players (me and my wife) and tried to replace wife with a Robot (no offence intended :rolleyes: ). Didn't work.. No error, BBO engine just do not do it! Is just no way to remove a player from a Team-Match other than substitution.. Strangely enough, placing a player on an empty seat can be done with “Substitute – select”: Sitout <= Player_X Why wouldn't be possible the other way around?

Since the pandemic I have been setting up and run over 100 team matches etc.. An unusual situation occurred recently; after starting a team match I got a director call from the other table saying one of the players (say Player-A) was stuck. I could see the player-A logging (off and) on a couple of times but the problem persisted.. Looking at Director’s menu couldn’t find anything useful, the only choice maybe “Substitute – select”.. I tried “Substitute – select” Player-A <= Sitout and got an error, Sitout not online.. Then I replaced Player-A with Substitute-X and back Substitute-X with Player-A, problem solved! Is any other way to remove (re-seat) a player on a Team-Match other than the one described above? As I remember this is possible for an ordinary BBO table.. Ps: I felt badly for Substitute-X and I wanted to apologized to him but I couldn’t remember his username.

I totally agree. This is definitely a bug introduced with the new BBO upgrade sometime last november 2020! Why changing something that was working nicely?? "BBO software people" please leave the "Match Setup Window" OPEN so the host could re-invite players again! Thank you, DanG.

I modified the the diagram with spot cards to avoid any confusion with some other squeezes. The threats are: - ♥8 It should be greater than East's heart suit except the ♥A of course. - ♣3 (or ♣2) When squeezing card ♠3 is played, West has to discard a heart (if he discards a club, then ♣K. ♣A and ♣3 and East is thrown in and has to return heart for 4th trick). Thank you Barry for your effort. Seems that I have to cope with those errors. No, I have not been disconnected, I had to log off and on to get around the error. And the Back and Home buttons being grayed after a match ends is still a problem because I have to log off and on again in order to be able to move around the site. Dan G.

Last time on Aug 4, 6:00 pm PDT (Pacific Daylight Time). From 6:00 to about 6:10, I got this error: "An internal error was detected while creating your tournament." Logged off and on. Yesterday I ran again 3 matches as I explained in previous post, but this time when I started the 1st match and error came up: "An internal error was detected while creating your tournament." Would someone explain what the error means? I setup the match tree times but the error kept coming up. Eventually I loged off and on again to solve the problem, an awkward situation when you have 7 players waiting for the match to start. Same problem occurred after match 1, 2 and 3. Greyed Back and Home buttons, nothing could be done but log off on on again! Thank you BBO Support Team for your help. Dan Gheorghiu

It happen again! To be more specific I am the host (and player) setting up 3 Team matches swapping pairs among 4 pairs: Match1 -> 12 vs 34 Match2 -> 13 vs 24 Match3 -> 14 vs 23 where 1,2,3,4 are pair #. Since the matches are setup as Barometer, after Match1 ended, I can see the IMPs of last board which means the other table is done. I had to setup 2nd match but the Back and Home buttons are greyed and "Create Team Match" button is missing! Same happened between Match2 and Match3. So I had to logoff and on every time to get things going. Some help from support team would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Dan G.

I was playing a "Free Just Declare Daylong (MP) 2020-7-29" tournament of 8 boards. After finishing 5th board a yellow message flushed on my display saying something like: "Error: .. board timeout..", and BBO-engine ended my tournament! First time when it happened I thought it might be a random error but yesterday (2020-7-29) happened again. :( Any feedback from support team would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Dan G.

Assign players to setup a team-match at Competitive/Team_Matches "Create a Team Match" for 2 teams at a time, provided the player has 100+ logins. Keep track of the results and decide next round of team matches (winners among them, losers the same). Setting up a team match is a little bit of a hustle but there is plenty of help on Youtube - search for "BBO team match". The player setting up a team match become the Director and probably the biggest worry is when he is playing at one table, taking care of the other table. He should instruct players to "Call the Director" (under table menu) if one player gets stuck or loose connection and should be replaced by a substitute. Have fun.. Dan G.

Hi All, Running BBO on Win10, Chrome browser. All is well till a tournament or team match ends and then the Back and Home buttons don’t work anymore. Actually I cannot move anywhere from there and the only button working is Logoff. The problem is random but it happen to me several times now. Recently we played this board on a duplicate pairs: Both sides red; S...W...N...E 1♦ 1♥ 2♦ 4♥ ? South looked unsure what to bid next. She touched the whole remaining bidding cards and after a second delay she reached for the double card and laid it on the table. West wanted the X withdrawn and another bid be made by South since (she touched first the stack of bidding cards). Since there was a disagreement between South and West, North called the Director. After reviewed the bidding, the Director agreed with West (unauthorized information from South) and forced South to make a call (no even pass). S...W...N...E ... 5♦ X all pass -1 (-200) for NS. Was there the right decision?
