  1. It is past time to fix this. Just get going and that pest comes up and asks you yous still here. Just like the kids in the back seat of the car Are we there yet. You monitor the mouse so use the info. Please pretty please
  2. It's not as random as you think. Just keep track of the leads for a while. It is probably less than 2 or 3% of the time that the opening lead is away from a King. Now later on in the play you get the Bots leading from Kings. When I play in the club you just learn who leads form Kings and who doesn't There it is at least 30 or 40% leading from a missing king.
  3. A few comments from a guy who has programmed for 42 years. FLASH is going away wether we like it or not. Adobe will no longer be supporting it. FLASH was OK but it was very very VERY insecure, it was like a virus on you computer. You may not like the new HTML programs that we are now forced to use, but that has nothing to do with HTML. I'm not crazy about the new program either, but the is called resistance to change. If you don't like the way the new program works, complain until we get something that most people find acceptable. Actually HTML is much more secure and much easier to program. The programmer have to get through the learning phase too. Take care and enjoy.
  4. Good luck with your endeavour. I worked in that world for 42 years and the changes that have been made in programming are unreal. I would like to see the Robots on BBO get smart some day. Today they just follow a bunch of rules. I keep looking for a Robot that can work from my CC. Is that possible??? Yes but you need the will to make it happen.
  5. I play with Robots a lot, and I know that their bidding is just horrible. They have been around for 12 years that I know of and have not improve much over that time. In todays world of Hi Tech they should have improved much more that they have. BBO has to do something about them soon so some kids will make them obsolete. I would like to see Robots that could play my CC. I believe that it could be done.
  6. It would not be difficult to give the user a choice of which Bott they use. The so called elite Botts use stuff I have never heard of, don't know anybody who uses them, and don't really want to learn them well enough to use them. Could you make a little button somewhere on the screen that gives the user the option of which Bott they get. If I go to he club or a tournament I get to choose, why not here. have a great day Lorne
  7. I had that bug in the Daylong tournament toss me out once again today. It is the 2032 error, comes from the Flash driver on BBO. Adobe has announced that they are going to abandon Flash in the near future. Any word on a replacement, maybe HTML 5?
  8. Hi, I have been playing for a few years now and would like to find a regular partner. I play frequently on BBO ( Lorneg ) and have also played at the RA center, the Bridge connection, and the generations club in Kanata. I prefer to play SAYC, but also do well in the 2/1 that the Robots use. ( but I'm not crazy about 2/1, I also think the Robots use away too many gadgets ) In my opinion a pair have to work out a system that they can both live with. I can live with most anything but prefer to follow the KISS principle. cheers Lorne
  9. 2c if you use inverted minors (must be alerted if you use SAYC). 3c if standard SAYC .
  10. Well said. 1D is hiding your point count from your partner. Now with that miss information he/she responds 2d. I don't think there would have been any interference over a sequence started by opening 1NT. So I say you screwed up now ware it buddy. 3nt is a bit of a gamble now, but it looks like the only way out.
  11. IMHO this hand was lost when North failed to compete over 2d. A double of 2d would show at least opening HCP and a desire to play in any of the unbid suits. Then South should bid 3H even if the double is not taken out, to show a fare responder hand. Now where you go from there is another story. An opening hand and a fare hand doesn't add up to slam as the results show. So I'm saying North blow it by hiding in the bushing and not letting his parter know he had points.
