As for the dancing, I wanted Mark and Karen to win because the were letter than Matt and Lilia. Having said that, I'm still totally smitten with Lilia Kopylova...

This is nonsense. There is an incredibly wide standard of play on BBO. Give me someone who I have some kind of understanding with as a partner and put me against 2 random pickups and I will go at +3IMPs per board in the main club - and I suggest there are a lot of reasonably practiced high-standard pairs who could easily do the same. To suggest +1IMP per board is cheating is ludicrous. Any two players on BBO are far from equal. My average may not be +1IMP per board over time however, because I don't spend my time playing in bunny bash mode but generally playing with friends and coaching juniors. Once again, people are looking for things where they simply don't exist. If you concentrated on your own game you would see more benefits than worrying about others! Alan

Dude... I think I've been accused of cheating twice in the last week :P haha I'm clearly not trying hard enough then!! Why do some people take things far far far too seriously? People will think they can see anything if they look hard enough for it.

No more Warney? Or McGrath? We're gonna win the Ashes, we're gonna win the Ashes (in 2009)!! *Dances around his room* On a more serious note. Since this thread is now the longest running on the forum, it is apparent what the most important things in life really are!

260-3 Still on our way!!

And Strauss get his third shocking decision on the bounce (literally this time). Not that we are likely to get 556 or whatever it is, but it doesn't exactly help.

Yes I did think it was a lock for the Aussies. But being an Englishman, I allowed that faint glimmer of hope in my heart to rule my head...

Oh Monty, Monty. Monty, Monty, Monty, Monty Panesar!!! I believe I suggested earlier in this thread that Saj and Monty for Gilo and Anderson was the way to go. And it seems someone has given Harmy his Christmas present - a new radar - early this year.
-
Are you? So am I, although I suspect for the opposite reasons to you!!

Well if someone could tell them to take everything from Birmingham upwards with them and those miserable Welshmen too when they do eventually b****r off, we would be grateful. Signed An Englishman

No offence boys (and not that many girls), I don't see the totty count as being particularly high around here, just (for the most part) an awful lot of testosterone being let off. I think a recruitment drive might be in order though!

I was at Lords when Nasser did the same after hitting a winning ton against NZ.

Perhaps they could do some new episodes of Fawlty Towers, there might even be an opening for a waiter in the series. ;) Sean I don't think it would be as funny if they made the waiter even more obviously stupid and unable to use the English language. ON the other hand, I can just imagine Basil using the immortal words: 'Oh I'm sorry, he's from Texas!'.

Yeah, thats a bit dodgy. Didn't know about being careful with supplements. That is either unbelievably naive or just wrong. How many high profile drugs cases have we seen through Nandrolone supposedly being in nutritional supplments? Lots and lots. For any professional sportsman to claim that is very poor and I can't believe the appeals board bought it.

Do I know Cricket... I'm not happy. The problem is that with Flintoff's ankle being dodgy, he can't carry a full workload, so we can't play him at 7, a keeper at 8 and have 3 specialist bowlers. Although I think its the only shot we have, but it means that Monty has to play because he can bowl all day. Colly is a bit of a pop-gun especially on these pitches and with the sorry excuse that is the Kookaburra ball. The problem with 4 bowlers is that we don't even look like taking wickets with 5... Maybe Saj and Monty in for Gilo and Anderson. And even Plunkett for Harmy if he cannot get a wicket. Saj and Plunkett are supposed to be able to hold a bat a bit... Yes, I'm gutted, but I have to cling to some hope.

My quote of the Ashes so far along with Michael Holding's (pitch report at the start of the fifth day in Brisbane) 'Mike Atherton has got four fingers into a crack this morning and may be able to get his whole fist in later'.
-
Looks like a draw - only Australia could realsistically win the match from here. And once again, Glenn McGrath's 5-0 statements look like a load of complete twaddle. Just one what if - what if the King of Spain had held on to Punter (as he should have done)...

College (American, not the proper kind!) Football. Unfortunately, since I have been to Huntsville a few times, I got indoctrinated into the Crimson Tide. ROLL TIDE!! Enough of this, I'm off to post on a thread about a sporting event that matters on a global scale... :P

KP is going to do a few very special things before his time in cricket is over. As a Englishman, I can't wait. There is another parallel with the last ashes. Although we got totally spanked in the 1st test both times, in each case it has been Pietersen's counterattack against the much vaunted Aussie bowling that has injected belief into England.

551-6. Now it gets a little more interesting. Lets see how the Aussie batsmen do in the face of such a big total. Their decision to go in with only 4 bowlers is now looking a bit suspect in the light of the physical state of Warne and McGrath...
-
266-3 COME ON!!! Now for a KP special this morning (of the good kind!)
-
45 minutes befire start of play and I hear Monty isn't playing on a pitch that takes spin from day 2-3 onwards. Fletcher should be shot.
-
I love the Dutch!
-
I'm sorry Wayne, I just have a filthy mind!! <_<

Nah, the Aussies always throw one of the dead rubbers.
