this come up often. GIB will keep bidding a suit and if you try to deny it you will end up in 7. this has happpened to me more than once: open 1 club, GIB 1H you bid 1S GIB 2H you bid any futher and GIB will keep bidding those hearts. once GIB bid 3 TIMES with K9xxx (and I had a void - 4H did not make)

the original question is unanswered. in the old software, when you hover the mouse over the tournament, you see the number of players already entered, but this does not happen with the web client: you have to click "join" for each tourney
