dosxtres
Hi I've become as new TD.I've asked for it for 3 main reasons. 1. I'would like to run public tourneys scheduled in the future, but this is far by the moment (when i have enought experience). 2. i'would like to run a weekly social club tourney(not a BBO club). (little experience) 3. spontaneuos tourneys only for friends, First. I need experience as TD and i can have it if players are friends or friendly. Second. when we are more than 8 friends for a match and we want to play altogether. Maybe this last one is not etychally, or maybe yes, i'm not sure about it and i would like to know if it is correct. And at this same point, this are the kind of tourneys i would play as TD, because it would be like a match friends. Ty all.
inquiry
You can have only one scheduled tourney at a time. So if you schedule one for a week from today, you can not run the "informal one' with your friends right now unless you delete the one a week away first. You can play and direct in a tourney, just be sure to INDICATE = "Playing director" so those people (including myself) who prefer not to play in ones with a playind director can avoid it. You can limit your tourney to specific people, or to "just friends". See that link I gave you earlier. Info there on how to do it. rigour6
I'm tempted to say that anything (within reason) you wish to do is fine - so long as you warn the players. I say I am tempted to say it, but I am sure that people will immediately begin thinking of a million exceptions. For now, just take some time to get to know the software, keep the number of tables down.
sceptic
If you are totally new to it, then ask me and I can run a few small ones with you and talk you through the mechanics of it, I am not that competant at the Bridge rules, but I am willing to help you get off the ground if you like
