1eyedjack
With the latest developments in the "Full Disclosure" program, this suggestion may receive a poor reception from a redundancy viewpoint, but here goes: It would be nice I think to enable you to place an html link in your profile, on which opponents could then single-click to open a web page. In a single stroke you could hugely increase the amount of system disclosure to opponents (and prospective partner), currently limited by the built-in CC design within BBO. An alternative to putting it in your profile might be to have an option when loading a CC that instead of using the BBO default it directs oppo to the web page in order to view it. Relevant plusses and minusses to my mind are: 1) Provided that it is not complicated to program, it places minimal demands on BBO developers - a plus point. 2) Given the number of players out there some of whom are computer literate, you provide the market place with an opportunity to develop the best methods of designing CC and system disclosure notes in HTML (or XML) format, and you tap into a huge wealth of talent at no cost - a plus point 3) My guess is that it would not be taken up by a large number of players, at least until a user-friendly generic method were made available - a minus point 4) This method would not be very effective at producing further integration with the BBO client - ie in order proactively to link explanations to bids in the bidding window. a minus point. 5) The method may compete with alternative methods in development (ie the Full Disclosure program). a minus point
the hog
Hrothgar has tried to do something along these lines. The reaction we always got was "Who can be bothered to look at it?"

BBO is not an unmoderated environment.
