Al_U_Card
After a few costly competitive auction errors at matchpoints, can anyone steer me to a link that provides an explanation with examples of the competetive 2NT relay? Thanks. btw Usage comments and suggestions are welcome.
Al_U_Card
[hv=d=w&v=e&n=stxxhqxdqxxcqxxxx&s=shakxxxdkjxxxcajt]133|200|Scoring: MPpass pass 1♥ 1♠ pass 2♠ 3♦ 3♠ all pass[/hv] This is the hand in question. The 3D bid was made after a hesitation which partner inferred meant lack of values and not choice between DBL for takeout and good hand. While DBL may well have been the winning choice here, 3D red vs white DEFINITELY shows values.
P_Marlowe
Hi, no Internet link, but have a look at Bergens Books "Better Bidding with Bergen" Vol. 2, or at MarshallMiles book "Competive Bidding in the 21st century". Good/Bad 2NT were introduced with the first one,the second one, does explain it in a way, I can understand. With kind regardsMarlowe
