sartaj1
Hi Fred and team, A suggested improvement for the software is to have facility for not knowing the scores at the other table as a team match progresses. For any form of serious preparation, that would be essential.Knowing the results at the very end is more like real life bridge. Another area we use is the partnership bidding area. I wonder if its possible to have the opponent's intervention set to something resembling what they hold in their hands. The current arrangement props out somewhat random bids by them which gets very very frustrating after a short while. Perhaps , one could use GIB to bid the hand, but then have an option to not play the hand. Anyways, thanks and congratulations for your gr8 softwareCheerioSartaj
Elianna
Hi Fred and team, A suggested improvement for the software is to have facility for not knowing the scores at the other table as a team match progresses. For any form of serious preparation, that would be essential.Knowing the results at the very end is more like real life bridge. This is already the default. Whenever one sets up a team game or tournament, they must choose to have the barometer on. You should probably discuss this with whoever sets the tournaments or team games you play in. inquiry
Elianna is correct, just don't put a checkmark in the barometer and you will have no indication on how you are doing. As for partnership bidding, GIB can be used in partnership bidding to give you interference. Wait for the next official release, or find the link on the main page of this forum to download a preview version of it today.

Anyways, thanks and congratulations for your gr8 softwareCheerioSartaj Upgrade to the latest beta version 4.3.8 and you can now choose to have East and West as GIB, bidding as per the cards dealt to them ( not random interventions) I have tried kibitzing while GIB practice in the Partnership bidding . Set North and South as GIB and you can kibitz them. This will give help you understand their bidding system to some extent and to some extent it is fun to watch them make some exotic bids. You can also sets constraints on GIB ( same as setting constraints for the North and South hands). I found it useful. It is a good training tool for the upcoming bridge player.
