mike777
I pass. 1) 2nt is a cr**py contract2) 3d will not stop it.3) 4333 is cr**py shape.
helene_t
I think 3♦ would encourage partner to lead a diamond. So I pass. Of course he can still lead diamonds if he wants but I don't want to bias his decision. 3♦ if I know the opps have unclear agreements abut forcing pass auctions. :)

Double !
pass. showing support (especially without a lead-helping honor) when the partnership is so limited in combined assets has almost always resulted in the opps being better able to assess their combined assets in my personal (albeit ancient history) experience. Any bid you make at this point provides opps with some potential additional bids, and it might work out that P's mild pre-empt has already had some positive impact for the partnership. As a wise (5yrs, 2 wks older than me) sage once (OK, more than once) said, "I bid when I have a reason to bid".
han
Pass, what else? Partner has given them a hard time by preempting. Bidding 3D now can only make it easier for them.
luis
At MPs I think anything can work, pass is wise and probably right but "right" bids usually attract other "right" bids from the opponents so sometimes a "wrong" bid will trigger a "wrong" reaction. So I think I will bid 3 spades here.
Echognome
[hv=d=w&v=n&n=s1097h1095dq10532c32&w=saq5hj63dk96cqj74&e=sj84hakq8dajcak95&s=sk632h742d874c1086]399|300|Scoring: MP(1♣) - 2♦! - (2NT) - 3NT!(X) - P - (5♣?) - All Pass[/hv] Maybe you will consider it bunny bashing, but I bid 3NT to muddy the waters. My plan was to run to 4♦ if doubled. It should have been obvious to most, but for some reason our East just jumped to 5♣ with his 22 count. Seven made and that was that. I had debated whether I was going to bid 3♠ though as it might help on the lead as well. One thing I knew for sure was that opponents had game. I didn't know that they'd have 7NT on. 4♦X would have gone for a very large number, so was lucky I wasn't doubled in that.
mr1303
well, if your partner makes WJ overcalls on Qxxxx and out then I certainly wouldn't bid 3D, let alone 3NT
pclayton
Your pard already won the board with 2D. I can even see 2N being passed, but doubtful they are creeping past 3N. Note 4D is going for 1100. And even if they botch a few tricks (hard to see how) its expensive.
han
Maybe you will consider it bunny bashing. I certainly do. I would expect to get a bottom score against decent opponents.

Looking at the 5♣ bid I think anything you bid would had worked with this opp.
