barmar
I don't like to have lots of icons on my desktop. I use the Quick Links section of the task bar for the applications I use frequently, so that's where I have my BBO shortcut. But every time I update to the latest beta version, the updater puts a shortcut on the desktop. The full installer should have a check-box asking if I want a desktop shortcut (I don't recall if it did or not), and updaters should just leave things as they are. It shouldn't be necessary for the updater to create a shortcut ever -- since it's updating the application in place, any existing shortcuts will continue to work. Agree,no need for icons/shortcuts in the update version. :)
