Lol, that used to happen to me as well, and another thing was, when having something like 24 balanced, an opponent leaves, then another joines, and my partner, who of course has 4-8 or so, decides to ask for redeal, so he can get a better hand with the excuse of a new player joining. I cannot say NO, because it only asks my opponents and have to see in panic how the hand goes away whie I Can do anyting but scream a loudless yell.

GACk... what would you have opened? For the record, only one opened 2♣ although one opened 2♥ (presumably strong) and two opoened 2♠ (strong). Playing MisIry I would plan to open 2NT then rebid 3♠ showing major 2 suiter, three losers, needing a club control (Ace or King).

3♠ = three losers, need club Ace or King for one of them

4♣ = denied club

4♦ = asking if diamond cover is ace

4NT = yes, I have diamond ACE, asking for missing major queens

5NT = Missing both queens, I have ace of clubs.

 

After 5NT, I know you have Ax of clubs (you jsut told me you had ace, and you asked for a club cover), you are missing both queens (so you have a diamond void, as your three losers are "x" clubs, queen of hearts, and queen of spades). I can draw your hand as AKxxx AKxxxx void Ax (with 6-5 in either major). You also know that I can construct this hand as well... this is like magic sometime. So I can ask if you have six hearts of six spades, and I can decide if I want to risk seven spades if you have six spades (clearly not if you have only five missing the queen). So here, 6C would ask about hearts, 6D would ask about spades (no need for "distributional king ask"). In this case, however, even with six spades, you need to ruff at least two hearts in my hand and if hearts are 5-3 or 6-2 even that will not be enough, so I bid 6S only.
