But still, the problem of this opening structure (and your current one) is that it's brown sticker, so you can't play it everywhere :( Why not use one of your openings for both minors? 3♣ (not forcing) works great, but you need a transfer preempt ♣ :P Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

glen Posted August 10, 2005 Report Share Posted August 10, 2005 Where allowed I like: 2NT as big balanced non-forcing hand (say 23-24) or bad preempt in ♣s3♣ as non-bad preempt in ♣s or bad preempt in ♦s3♦ as non-bad preempt in ♦s(this can be extended into the majors) Over 2NT, the complete 2NT package is used. However if responder is worried that opener might have the bad preempt (no ace or king in any suit) s/he bids 3C Stayman, and opener passes this with the bad preempt hand.
