I opened 1NT what do you think of my 3!S bid,

I really did not like that 2 diamond bid and did not like my chances in NT so went for the moysian fit

what is best line to make this 4 spade contract with a 6 diamond lead from east

3 is probably better than 3.

With a maximum you want to bid game but you can express doubt about which is best without promising 4 spades (as you did). Partner should probably bid 3NT with his hand as you should have some diamond values (no 4-card major) and he does not want to play in a 4-3 fit.

Neither contract is attractive this time though :P

This is a family oriented board, so I can't tell you what I think of your three spade bid in public here (I would have to censor myself). Let's just say not much.

4-3 FITS are great when the short hand in "their suit" (here diamonds) is in the short hand with your suit (here spades). In other words if you had one or two diamonds, and three spades, moysein would be a good idea. But when the hand with the four spades (here your partner) is short in diamonds, well that is not good. I will leave it to you to figure out why.

Play the 2D overcaller for Kx, Qx, or Jx of spades. Win diamond ACE, Club to the ACE, spade with avoidance play on overcaller (8 if he plays small, ACE otherwise. The plan is not to lose a trick to WEST who will capture two diamonds. Then when you get back in cash spade ACE club queen, and try to take 10 tricks (losing 3S). Winning 1S, 2H, 1D, 3C, a club ruff, and two heart ruffs or long trump if they ruff hearts in front of dummy.
