Limey_p
In f2f bridge, I decide when to return my hand to the board - and I think that some of my rights (contesting a claim, for example) may change when I do so. On BBO, the next deal appears, too suddendly IMO. Two suggestions: 1. Add a "dissolve" like some TV scenes use to visually introduce the new deal 2. Give me an on-screen countdown (with a "stop" or "hold" button) so I can keep the old deal on-screen. In addition to rules-related reasons, sometimes we *enjoy* a friendly postmortem. 1eyedjack
There is a similar problem at the point when the final pass closes the auction. Declarer's hand is immediately displayed to dummy before the first card is led. This effectively rules out an undo at that time, whether because of misclick or because of late explanation of a call. There may be personal configuration options that switch off the immediate display of declarer, I have not checked, but I do not think it should be at user's option. It does not cost him much to deny him sight of declarer's hand until after the opening lead. Additionally, I wonder whether it would be beneficial to enable other players at the table to block the display of a fast opening lead until such time as they are ready. 1eyedjack
Perhaps much of the problem re my last post in this thread (no help to original poster, sorry) would be solved by a slight change in the way that the checkbox operates in the personal profile that permits dummy to kibbitz declarer during the play: If displaying declarer's hand were delayed until after the opening lead is made, then it might provide an additional opportunity to give an "UNDO" to the final pass in the auction, without the massive UI transfer that currently applies when declarer's entire hand is presented to dummy. csdenmark
On some other playgrounds a new deal comes up only after all 4 players have accepted that. I think that would be a nice improvement. The most important by such a feature I think will be to define the time between end of a deal and until next deal is loaded to be the only time where players will be able to leave the table in good order.
