QuiteACard
Is it currently possible for me to type what I'll call "comments" in my chat window in such a way that: + they do appear in my chat transcript log + they do not appear in anyone else's chat window or transcript log. Rain
Hi QuiteaCard, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying you want to talk to yourself? Or did you mean you want to write notes about players, such as "good player" or "does not play 2/1", and when you put your mouse over their name, be able to see the comments? QuiteACard
Hi Rain: You wrote: >Are you saying you want to talk to yourself? Yes. I'd like to add notes (I call them comments) that will appear in my chat window and transcript log - and no where else. I specifically want these comments to appear in-line in the chat window and my transcript log. I know I can add comments to the profile for each BBO player. That doesn't solve my problem. For example if I'm kibitzing a lecture session the session leader might say something and I'd like to make a note to myself - perhaps as a tickler for further research I'd like to pursue outside the session. Rain
Sorry, can't do it with BBO. You can start your own word document for such things though. I used to have one before my HD self-destructed.
inquiry
You can send yourself mail (or use to be able too), but it will not show up until the next time you log on.
mink
You can go to a chatroom or table where nobody else is, or you can kib at a table where you are the only kib. Typing somethink then will find its way to the chatlog, I think. Karl
csdenmark
Looks like this request makes good sense for teaching sessions. I understand this kind of format: Teacher: hjhh kljhlkjhlk ljuioupou9p 789879 My comment: nvnbvm nbkuyto uoig jkhjkh Teacher: kljlk iouyiop tutuy kljlk Teacher: hjklh jhgjk ytryu tuuti My comment: 67587 gfjhgf uhkl My suggestion is: Rightclick teachers name for copy the text - then paste that into a separate editor and make your comments there. After the teaching session is ended you can copy/paste all from your editor into your chatlog or copy/paste your chatlog into the editor you have used. In Denmark we call that kind 'active listening'
