han
many roads lead to 3H. As for 4HXX, I'm not sure I'm interested. Perhaps you can surprize me.
civill
I suggest that we firstly discuss on bidding, are there enough good reasons to bid 3♥,but not 4♥XX.Later,I'll post the whole deck.Thank you in advance!
inquiry
[hv=d=e&v=b&n=saxhxxxdkxxxxxckx&s=sq10xxhkqjxxxdcxxx]133|200|Scoring: IMPThe result is S-4♥XX-2,another room is 3♥-1.Could you image the sequence of bidding?[/hv] Clubs Match. The obvious difference is that one west opens 1♠,another opens 1♦ with responding by 1♠.What's your opinion? My bidding PASS = 2H = let them decide what to do.. . East deals and WEST gets to open? South couldn't see himself clear to bid 2♥ over EAST pass? Really, worried about that four card spade suit? How about 1♥ then if so bothered. Ok, if I had to guess, (P) - P* - (1S) - 2D *yuck(P) - 2♥ - ( P) - 2♠(P) - 4♥ - ( X) - Pass (P) - XX The redouble here is, "I should have bid earlier, and partner cue-bid in support of hearts, surely I must be making a ton." Lesson, if you should be bidding earlier, BID EARLIER.
civill
I also think South should bid 2♥,but actually both rooms' south pass,One is:S W N E --------pP 1D P 1S2H 2S 3H P4H P P XXX P P P I think East's 1♠ response has changed the sequence of bidding.Even 4♥XX may be not reasonable,but how about 4♥?Is it only an application of LOTT? Another is :S W N E --------pP 1S P 2C2H 2S 3H PP P
