Bridge Podcast

Recommended Posts

The Future Stars of Bridge is proud to announce the first bridge podcast.

It's currently at our blog: Future Stars Blog.If you use iTunes or an aggregator, message us on BBO so we can tell you how to get our feed.

The first episode is 40 minutes and is more of a test run than anything else. Hopefully we'll be posting three times a week with podcast with bridge learning, happenings, and goodies.

Update:

We've received almost 75 emails and messages about the podcasts, and the vast majority of them have been positive, with one big exception.

Since the first one was one large 20 Mb file, the dial-up folks were having to wait hours on end to get it.

Fear not, starting with the 2nd podcast tomorrow, we will start offering two podcasts. One is for the dial-up crowd, with segmented files. The other will be the large broadband file. This way, everyone can listen.

We are also reducing the sound quality to 32Kbps to futher reduce the size of the file(s). Hopefully the tone will be good still.

Lastly, thanks for the encouragement - admittedly I was VERY nervous about this venture. I just didn't know if the concept would be attainable. Thanks to you, it not only is welcomed, it's being championed. Hopefully in the future, I'll be able to get interviews with star players, broadcast from major tournaments, and offer more content and value.

BTW: The Future Stars KO is now open to ALL BBO members and the system restrictions lifted. We're also moving it back to 15 August for the starting day due to the Atlanta NABC that is about to start later month.

The 2nd podcast is up.

Yes it will help the English, to a point -

I have two sets of file. One is the broadband, the other is a 4 parter for dial-up users. The site is Future Stars Blog.

Please write us at either thekeylimeexpress at yahoo.ca OR post here for feedback. We're still tweaking the format some but it's a step forward.

Topics are:

1. Barry Crane was the exception to many things.

2. Atlanta NABC prep.

3. Weak vs. Strong NT

4. What the B-L Affair might do for bridge.

5. The Future Stars of Bridge KO Tourney.
