monist Posted June 26, 2023 Report Share Posted June 26, 2023 A common scenario is waiting for a tournament to start; another is waiting for the next round or hand of a tournament to start. Why not use push notifications for this? I would like it, it's opt-in, and fewer players would fail to show up when needed. On a related note, when playing in some clocked tournaments, the site seems to log you out if the BBO browser tab is hidden. Again, how about not doing this and using notifications. And on the mobile app version (at least on iOS), it would seem entirely possible to avoid logging the user out when the app is minimized. Comments?
