Can you think of hand consistent with partner's bidding? What do you do now?
Guest Jlall
X of 2C was clubs. X of 2H should be penalty...but im looking at my hand... anyways I pass I have nowhere to go anyways. Maybe his hand is just really good.
cherdano
Maybe you should ask what opponents are doing -- my best guess is responder is playing Walsh and has 4 hearts and 5 diamonds. Even leaves partner with a penalty double if opener gave false preference with 1-2 in the red suits
whereagles
Pard seems to have a take-out double of spades (1444 or so) and about 14-15 points. Pass and wait for the singleton spade lead. The jacks will be of some help in the defensive play, by the way.
Winstonm
Surely pard holds a 2245 pattern with a good hand. Trump leads and continuations should make this an unpleasant contract to play. WinstonM
Echognome
Ding Ding Ding Ding! Winston wins the prize. Partner's (my) hand was: ♠ 42♥ A3♦ A864♣ AK953 Responder was 3550 with a 5 count and trying to improve the contract. My partner pulled to 2♠ to go one off. I wasn't as confident with my second double, but I couldn't believe my partner pulled it with 4 trumps!
