thorvald
I am mostly surprised by the explanation[hv=pc=n&n=st8hqtdaqj7632c85&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=1s2hppd3h4d(5%2B%2C%2012-16%20total%20points)]133|200[/hv] How can a passed hand have 12-16 total points? pescetom
How can a passed hand have 12-16 total points? You passed in a situation which would have required you to come in at 2NT or higher, vulnerable. But yes, when you have already limited your hand to 11 or 12, Gib does have an odd habit of recognizing that but extending it to a maximum of 16. johnu
[hv=pc=n&w=sqt4ht987654d5c42&d=n&v=e&b=1&a=1sp2d?]133|200[/hv] Putting the head on the block GIB found a 2♥ bid IIRC it is mandatory to bid with a 7 card straight flush. A straight flush is better than 4 aces.
