the system use a Major Alwas First aproch so with 4♠ and 7♦ bid 1♦

to show his 4 cards♠ (range of point is 9-14)

East who use a Laurel and hardy defence on 1 level opening

double to show 4+♣ and 4+♥ and 0-2 ♦

and a minimum of 12 point

south have to many spade his partner didnt mention answering with 6 cards supoort

so bid 3 spade promising 4-5 cards ♠

West reavuleate his hand

his 8 count are now 12-13

addig 3 point for Splinter spade and 2 more point for 5th club and 5th heart

so bid 4H

south Double proposing partner to bid 4 Spade

East have no reason to bid on and pass

north bid 4 ♠

west lead the ace of Heart and switch to spade

or in second chair -when dealer passed promise 14+point unbalanced or 15+p balanced

without interference responder bid of 1 spade on FP is negative..

 

when North open 1 ♦ he limited his HCP in the 9-14 Point

partner suport with 3 or more cards.

 

w/o interference 1♠ is a G/T + (game try or better )

w/o acpecting spade as Trump

1♥ is a game forcing relay asking opener to describe his hand

I'd guess the correct overcall is 1N, since an intermediate jump overcall is not available NV.

maybe i didnt grab the Laurel hardy complex

as 1 Diamond is artificial showing Spade

1 spade will be a T/o with 3+cards in all other suit

1 heart wills show club and diamond 12+p

and 1 NT and unspecified 5 cards (club diamond or Heart ) W/O a side cards of 4 12-15 p

2 club will show Diamond and heart 12+ p

2 heart a weak 6 cards less then 12p

2 spade 5+ heart and 4+m and weak (less then 12 point

2nt weak with 4-5 or 55 in minor(less then 12 p )

 

maybe the right bid is 2 diamond and not double

as south the question is if 3♠ is enaught to make west pass again or does he have to bid 4♠

its hard to imagine North hand to make 4 ♠
