What would you bid?

I find the initial pass very weird unless we play some funny system in which pass promises long hearts. 1 is normal, unless we play Namyats or something similar.

Now I bid 3, if partner raises to 4 it would be nice if 4 was exclusion but it probably isn't so I will have just to bid normal RKC and assume that partner has A.

You're going to have to explain what "

I assume that the strong ♣ is blocking for a normal 4♥ opening." means.

As stands..I obstain...passing with E hand is just from another galaxy.

I did not understand why East did not open 4, but there might be a rule, that with EKxx in a side suit the Bot is not allowed to preempt

I think looking for slam is to optimistic. I would just bid 4, but even 3 seems better than the actual 4 from the bot

Nothing to do with clubs. Same as I mentioned in another thread recently - GIB never bids freak hands properly because it can't reconcile the difference in HCP and total points, with it failing both the rules for 1 and 4 based on different criteria. The same happens to later heart bids, with none matching.

Well, xxxxx-AK-Axxx-xx is an ace short for opener's bidding.

AQxxx-K-AJxxx-Qx would be a minumum with a moderate amount of wastage. Granted, when we here three keycards we would have to gamble that there's some way to get rid of our club losers, but I think it's a reasonable gamble. Opener could also be missing A, or have A with K being sec or finesseable, so with three keycards I think slam has decent chances.

I would want to look for slam here, but without forcing beyond game unnecessarily. With my best human partner we play Namyats, with others I would bid 2 then 3 imposing trumps, both are on track to discover diamonds control within game. No idea what it takes for GIB to bid over 4, but I can't see it being much help after 1 either, except maybe a fluke 2 response.

I don't know about longer holdings, but I did notice that according to the description a 2M opening denies 4 card diamonds (but not 4 card clubs, even more curious).
