pigpenz
ok no barmar explanation!any way they started using in these tournaments where players can hover over the bids and seewhat they mean before they make them...probably about 20% realize and the rest dont care orare not aware of this. since this was posted on messages that BBO sends out, why not in the shout out thatthey give at the beginning of the game why not put that in the explanation also. it seems like it would make it more realistic on the results. no one plays inverted minors and no one seems to play capelletti also eg.1NT 2h*pass pass with 55 in minors.1minor passs 2minor all pass it would just help clean up some of the mess in these games
gjfeldman
A big improvement. It makes sense to have a standard system in these games in which you are playing with a partner you do not know and cannot communicate with.

smerriman
I'm pretty sure most would be in the 'don't care' camp, rather than the 'don't know' camp; telling them in other ways is not going to change that. If you want to play a set system, a pairs tournament is a better bet.
barmar
HOW DO WE GET PEOPLE TO LOOK BEFORE THEY LEAP????You can lead a horse to Cappelletti, you can't make them think.
