Being logged out of BBO while substituting

I've been doing a bit of subbing recently and find that if my services are no longer required and the Director removes me when the original player returns, I am kicked out of BBO entirely.

And have to log in again.

At which point I get a message saying something like "the director will return you blah blah".

I know that no one's dying and I can just log back in but it seems a bit mean.

Why not just return the sub to the main interface?

I seem to remember we discussed this some time ago, but FWIW I think it stinks.

It's already dubious to use human rather than robot substitutes if you expect and welcome the original player back again, but if so then the substitute should at least be advised about the deal and treated with respect when no longer "needed".

Agree, but the specific new problem is that when my services are no longer needed and I'm removed from my seat I find myself logged out as well.

When playing in the casual area being 'removed' doesn't cause a logout.

As P. Seeger might say: Sag mir wo die spielers sind? Booted out mit der bots?
