sfi
2NT. That's Bridge World Standard. I think you may have misread the auction. Standard for 2NT is natural and individual invitational. Edited February 18, 2022 by sfi
pilowsky
Would 2♣ here show both reds?If so what sort of hand would you use it on if not this one?
mikeh
I think you may have misread the auction. Standard for 2NT is natural and individual.I definitely agree that bidding 2N is very much an individual decision. It certainly isn’t a partnership action
mikeh
Would 2♣ here show both reds?If so what sort of hand would you use it on if not this one?I’d prefer not to immediately raise partner on a void. Holding AQxxxxx in hearts makes bidding that suit seem a bit better than raising clubs at this juncture. It’s not that I have never raised partner on a void, but I’ve generally waited until I held a very strong hand and partner had announced a long, solid suit. So I’d give him a chance to rebid clubs a few times, and even then I doubt I’d be raising🤪

P_Marlowe
If 2H is forcing, this is perfect, otherwise I go via X, followed by bidding hearts.
AL78
I decided to bid what I thought had a fair chance of making or if I go down, maybe they can make 4♠, and give the opposition the last guess, so bid 4♥. 73% to us when they bid on and went down. https://tinyurl.com/ycwtw2vc
