Can't get rid of sound effects

Suddenly BBO starts providing sound effects despite me having deselected sound effects.

 

I am using a recently installed Chrome on Windows 10.

 

Another weird thing that just happened today was that www.bridgebase.com/v3 doesn't work as it redirects to https://www.bridgebase.com/https/www.bridgebase.com/v3/

 

www.bridgebase.com/v3/ (with a final slash) does work, though.

 

The only things on my side that could have changed the behaviour of crome, afaik, are:

- Wifi suddenly stopped working (although it did work on other devices) so I had to reboot the computer.

- I installed the Norton crome extension

 

When I use Firefox (for which I have not installed Norton) I also get unwanted sound effects but www.bridgebase.com/v3 works as it redirects to http://www.bridgebase.com/v3/

 

Chrome Version 94.0.4606.71 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Firefox 92.0.1 (64-bit) for Acer

 

Edit: after rebooting the computer, bridgebase.com/v3 now redirects correctly even in Chrome, but I still have the unwanted sound effects
