As you can see, the red game is hopeless as cards lie, but when trumps were drawn, the West GIB, having no trouble discarding, ditched too many diamonds so that diamonds were ruffed out to set up the game going trick.

I think a Flight D little old lady, looking at dummy's diamonds, would be able to count, to keep the same length in diamonds as dummy.

I know it's only GIB basic. I don't even dream about any modern super advanced bot would know lackwood last train or serious kickback interest in slam bidding, but isn't counting the real basic ability of a bot?

Solid play by GIB W to not unblock ♦J which would have allowed an overtrick. This doesn't seem like much but small solid plays add up.
