mycroft Posted September 6, 2021 Report Share Posted September 6, 2021 Robot tourneys (not sure about daylongs) do affect TCR as of recently, but they're +1/0 things; if you don't complete, it doesn't affect anything; if you do, it counts as a tournament for your TCR. I don't have an issue, as I don't bail on tournaments and my network is good, so don't take this as gospel, IIRC, some of the tournaments that are +1/0 are USD0.25. Having said that, don't the tournaments that want a particular TCR rating cost money? Of course, you can just bully through the rollover, that's free. The problem with daylongs is that they don't test the same thing - if you give up after 30 minutes (and come back), or if your connection won't reliably support 2 hours connected to BBO, you can still complete daylongs.
