euclidz
Has your Club re-commenced F2F Bridge games? Is your club discussing re-commencing F2F Bridge games? If so I would like to know what measures (if any) you are implementing/putting in place to protect members? e.g., table money – cashless? screens? mandatory masks? gloves? hand gel? nothing? Cyberyeti
My understanding for our club (I haven't been yet) it's mandatory masks unless exempt, hand sanitiser
AL78
Yes my club has introduced a couple of F2F sessions a week, termed a soft reopening. Face masks not compulsory, an upper limit of eight tables, hand sanitiser must be used, the windows have to be open for ventilation (good luck with that in the winter), no cash (vouchers only), players must only handle their cards, the kitchen is closed so people must bring their own refreshments, and only North handles the Bridgemate,
mw64ahw
We had a vote and by 2/1ish decided to postpone F2F
jillybean
I'm all for these hygiene measures given the number of players who cough, sneeze, wipe their nose and lick their fingers during a bridge game however covid is an airborne disease. Face masks and vaccinations will protect us, surface cleaning simply makes some feel more comfortable.

Face masks and vaccinations will protect us, surface cleaning simply makes some feel more comfortable.Your doubts about the importance of surface cleaning seem dubious to me, and in contradiction with your observation about people who will wipe their nose or whatever: the protocol for f2f play here insists on pre-dealt cards, personal bidding box and hand cleaning every round. But there is a specific thread about coronavirus where you can air your thoughts if really convinced.
