Jim RP
We have a regular group that plays on BBO twice a week. We rotate partners 3 times during our game. We then seek a redeal. Sometimes BBO allows it, other times it doesn't. There is no apparent pattern to explain the reason for this. I see no reason why a redeal couldn't always be allowed as long as the players agree to it.
hrothgar
With the exception of tournaments and the like, I'm pretty sure that BBO does allow redeals in all cases If you're experiencing something difference, it's probably user error of some kind. Well, I don't know what kind of user error it could be. Our group has played 40 games a day, 2 days a week, for about 15 months. We request a redeal 3 times per day when we change partners. Most days, at least one is denied. I suspect some kind of bug in the BBO software.

murdockbb
Same thing happens to me with same seeming randomness. Have one player pass and then redeal works.
jlhoweiii
Three days each week, we play one invisible/permission-to-play/permission-to-kibitz table on the Casual server. We rotate 2 players every [6] boards. On the [6th] board, I remind the other players not to bid the next board until after we switch players. The players who will be moving "leave" the table and then request to sit at their next seat. As each player sits in their new seat, BBO automatically re-deals because the players who were not seated can see all hands. With two players changing seats, there are two automatic re-deals. This has been working fine since pandemic lockdown began.
