now some times it works, by that I mean West opens the bidding with 1 Daimond etc.

 

so West has to be set to bid each and every time you are going to play a convention, right?

 

could you explain the minimum combined HCP box

sorry so dense ,but at 70+ ???

 

with unusal and michales was told 0 was ok in that box,

how about with jacoby2nt, neg X

Well, I bet that someone sent you an email from the forums, and if you don't recognize the person, they probably mistyped in your name. If you do recognize the person, and were expecting a bridge discussion and don't understand what they're trying to discuss with you, ask that person!

Is that a type of ZAR POINT system?Otherwise how is the HCP box up to 70+?

It makes sense to me. (at least that last bit) The person that sent you the email is 70+ and hence is apologizing for not understanding.

They don't understand the combined HCP box in the partnership bidding room. It's one of the table options when you are practicing.
