Printing Hands

I would like a bit more flexibility in printing hands.

 

AFIK the two options available in BBO at the moment are to export whole match to text file or print from within a movie which does a screen print. I'd like to be able to produce a similar layout to bridge columns in newspapers etc with just the hands, bidding and lead.

 

I'm thinking that it might be necessary to convert a lin file to another format first but I'm not even sure of the best way to go about that.

 

Before I go any further can I ask if anyone has any experience of doing this already?

I wrote a small perl program to be able to print

my lin files (nrmally I live on unix), but this is text only

 

but it may be a starting pint for something more colorfull

Using Richard Pavlicek's file converter you can convert the .lin files to rbn and then from rbn to html. You can open up the html documents in word and formatting from there is easy.

I'm trying to run the Richard Pavlicek tool and I get an error message invalid line endings against LIN files downloaded from MyHands.

here is a workaround.

 

Use linconverter to convert to pbn

use richards converter to convert to rbn

then use his html maker to maker pretty print pages
